Poughkeepsie Journal (NY) - January 12, 2002 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Deceased Name: Frances L. Jacob LAGRANGEVILLE - Frances L. Jacob, 75, of LaGrangeville, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2002 at Lutheran Care Center. Prior to her becoming a homemaker, Mrs. Jacob was a registered nurse at Danbury Hospital. Faithfully, Mrs. Jacob remained an RN throughout her life. She was the chairman of the Democratic Party and was on the Recreation Board of LaGrange; a member of Ladies Auxiliary of the LaGrange #1 House; treasurer of LaGrange Historical Society; and treasurer of Mardi-Bob Tea Timer for 30 years. She was Friends of the Freedom Plains Church. Mrs. Jacob was a local resident since 1951, formerly of West Paterson, N.Y. Born July 3, 1926 in West Paterson, N.Y., she was the daughter of Daniel and Frances Judd Ludington. She graduated in the late 40s from Danbury School of Nursing. On Sept. 17, 1949 in the Methodist Church, Pawling, she married Thomas F. Jacob. Mr. Jacob survives at home. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by two sons, Donald T. Jacob of Vermont; Kenneth D. Jacob of New Hampshire; a sister, Marcia Baker of Holmes, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Lisa and Heather; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jacob also leaves behind many friends. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lyme Disease Foundation, 1 Financial Plaza, Hartford, CT 06103. Arrangements by Robert H.
