PGSM - Act Fourteen
Luna recaps the last two episodes: they found the princess, Sailor Venus and all was well, but then Kunzite woke and attacked Moon and now, "Sailor Moon is turning into a youma!"
Back to Moon and Tux, she almost attacks Tux, walking towards him with her arm going for his throat, when suddenly her tiara starts to glow. It seems the senshi in her will not allow her to be turned into a youma.
She returns to normal, but she is confused... which actually is normal for her.
Luna helps us out by stating that her senshi power must be suppressing the youma's power. Thanks Luna. Moon insists that she feels okay, but the hair still glows faintly around her neck.
Theme song
Kunzite appears before Beryl. He knows why she called him - the senshi have become too much trouble and Nephrite alone can't handle it.
Nephrite isn't pleased by that slight, and he starts to tell Kunzite off, but a sword at his throat shuts him up. Kunzite calmly says that he will do his job, and then he moves closer to Beryl, walking right up onto her dais. He suggests that she step down and let him handle everything.
Beryl is not pleased by Kunzite's obvious lack of respect. (And neither is Nephrite)
Kunzite just smirks and walks off
At Crown, the girls are all beautifully dressed in color-coordinated kimonos, having a belated New Years party.
Of course, since it's a party at Crown, there is singing: Anio Minako's C'est La Vie. Only Rei isn't into it. She still doesn't like kareoke. Although she does keep time to the song quietly, under the table
Usagi tries to convince Rei to sing, and this leads to the usual argument... which annoys Makoto, who is trying to duet with Luna.
So they move on to other games - including dressing as Nako Nako from Act Eight and standing there going "Kupi!"
And of course, there is lots of eating.
And then suddenly, Usagi faints. The hair around her neck flickers in and out once again.
They get her settled on the couch while Luna updates them on the whole "Changing humans into youma" thing. But the only thing they can do is wait, and hope that Sailor Moon's power wins out over the youma But even as they speak, a strange symbol appears on Usagi's chest.
Makoto and Rei hurry off to find Kunzite... even if fighting him doesn't help Usagi, it will sure make the two senshi feel better. They leave Ami to tend to Usagi. Ami realizes that Usagi is growing cold, and her pulse is slowing down. She has to do something
Meanwhile, Mamoru arrives at Crown. Motoki prattles on about his turtles, but Mamoru's thoughts are elsewhere. He's worried about Usagi/Moon. As if his thoughts summoned them, Ami comes out half-carrying Usagi.
Mamoru hurries over to help, and he carries Usagi to Ami's house, piggy-back style.
They get her settled in Ami's bed
Mamoru watches Ami fuss over Usagi for a few minutes, before feeling awkward and leaving.
Rei and Makoto each search for Kunzite, each in their own way.
Ami sets up a computer to monitor Usagi's condition when she discovers that Usagi is growing claws.
She has to keep Usagi warm, so she surrounds her with space heaters and many many blankets. But it's getting later - her mother might start to worry.
So she calls Usagi's mother, saying that Usagi is going to spend the night. Ami says that Usagi lost her voice doing so much singing... and then Ami feels horribly guilty for lying.
But the space heaters seem to be helping - the claws have vanished.
There's a ring at the door - it's Naru. Usagi's mother said that she could find Usagi here. Usagi has one of her CDs and Naru needs it back. Ami closes the door in Naru's face, leaving her out in the hall. A minute later she returns with the CD.
Naru asks where Usagi is. Ami can't exactly say that Usagi is unconscious while the senshi in her fights against the youma trying to possess her, and she can't come up with any other excuse, so she doesn't say much.
Naru jumps to the conclusion that Ami didn't tell Usagi that Naru was there... or that Usagi doesn't want to see her.
Ami pushes her outside and says that Usagi is sleeping. She also says that she doesn't have to believe her, but that Naru should go.
So a very confused Naru leaves Ami's apartment - she's never seen Ami act so forceful before.
Mamoru is waiting anxiously outside.
Beryl asks Kunzite how is current plan - gathering the energy of a senshi - is going. He tells her about Moon, and that it's taking longer than he thought, but he'll handle it.
Ami is sleeping when her computer flashes with a scary red light. Usagi's temperature has dropped dangerously low, and the claws are back. But just as Usagi finishes the transformation into a youma, Ami wakes up.
It was just a night mare. Usagi is still sleeping peacefully, her temperature normal.
But maybe it wasn't just a nightmare. Luna senses the presence of an enemy... the words are hardly out of her mouth when Usagi's temperature drops so much that the girl starts to turn blue.
Rei knows too. Her fire told her.
Flower petals swirl around Ami's room, covering Usagi. Kunzite's voice calls for her to awaken, and she vanishes.
Ami stands there in shock for a bit and then tears out of the apartment, running past Mamoru.
As she runs along, she Makes Up. This transformation is pretty cool - it wouldn't make any sense to do the usual transformation sequence since she's running, so she just glows bright blue and then she's Mercury. It takes about a second - so it's a transformation in real time. How exciting. She keeps running, although I'm not sure if she knows where she's going.
Meanwhile, Kunzite has dressed Usagi in white and has her laying on an altar type thing. He's impressed that she managed to resist his spell this long, but she can't hold out much longer. He holds his hands over her and her nails grow back into claws.
Somehow, Mercury finds him. I am not sure how, but she does. She demands that he return Usagi - he says he will, once she's a youma.
She uses Mercury Aqua Mist to blast him, but he draws his sword and absorbs it, and then he blasts her own blue power back at her, throwing her around the cave. He is less than impressed with Mercury.
She is in trouble until she hears the water dripping. Water is her power, it can make her stronger, just like it helped her in Act Five.
Kunzite swings his sword down, but is blocked by a blue sword, apparently made out of water.
It doesn't stick around for very long, and once again Mercury demands that he return Usagi.
Jupiter and Mars cartwheel onto the scene and attack together, in split screen, but again Kunzite absorbs their power (At least it looks like it takes some effort on his part this time) and blasts it back at them, knocking them to the ground.
But Kunzite won't finish them off, he thinks it will be far more entertaining to have Sailor Moon do it for him. He passes his sword over her and she starts to glow, alternating back and forth between herself and a yeti-like youma.
After one very unflattering shot of Mercury, she flashes back to all the good times she had with Usagi over the past 13 episodes.
And, Usagi sits up.... and yawns. It's too loud in here for her to sleep. But, looking around, she soon discovers that this is not her bedroom, nor is it Crown, or any other place it would be logical for her to wake. And why is she wearing a white dress?
Then she spots Kunzite and quickly Makes Up.
It seems that the senshi power in her has won after all, much to Kunzite's shock. I don't think he's used to being wrong.
Kunzite swings his sword at her, but rather than moving out of the way she stands there in shock.
But once again Kunzite is blocked, this time by Tuxedo Kamen's very strong cane. He does his usual role by calling "Sailor Moon - now!"
She pulls out her wand and Moon Twilight Flashes Kunzite, who decides to beat a retreat for now.
The girls reunite, and Moon tries to clean the dirt off Mercury's face. Somehow, Mercury was the only one that got dirty through all of this.
Later, as they're walking home, the girls ask Usagi if she remembers anything. Usagi says just that she was trying to sleep, but everybody was calling her name, so it was too loud - so she woke up.
They have a touching moment, which Usagi interrupts by remembering that she hasn't finished her winter break homework.
So the show ends with Usagi pleading with the others to help her
