PGSM - Act Thirty-Seven

Human-Luna gives the recap. In order to get Endymion to come back with her, Beryl held the shitennou hostage. Which is interesting considering they work for her.
But then, just as Beryl was about to get her claws on Mamoru, Sailor Moon transformed into Princess Sailor Moon and blew things up.
Beryl orders Mamoru to make Princess Sailor Moon stop, otherwise... she will hurt the shitennou. She demonstrates this by making Nephrite kill himself.

Mamoru hugs Princess Sailor Moon and she turns back into Usagi.
As Mamoru leaves with Beryl, he tells Usagi that he will return.
She faints.
Luna says that she knew that the love between the moon princess and the earth prince was ill fated, and yet, she can't bear to see Usagi so unhappy.

The girls get Usagi settled on a couch at Crown (under a pink blanket)
Luna says that Usagi's past self, Princess Serenity has awoken... but she's different than how Luna remembers.
Mars flashes back to when she was upset with Venus about their past life.

Usagi wakes and gets up. She looks down at the watch that Mamoru gave her and remembers him leaving with Beryl.
Ami tries to comfort her, but Rei is finally the one that manages it, saying that they can't let a ghost from the past take away someone important to her. They will get him back.

When Makoto says that Rei gave good advice, Rei promptly denies it.

Theme song

Mamoru is sitting in front of a table in the Dark Kingdom. It's a rather dark room, and the food doesn't look all that appetizing to me, but I'm not Japanese. The camera angles and the dramatic music don't help clarify if the food is supposed to be good looking or not either. But there are chicken feet.
Mio asks why Mamoru isn't eating. She assures him that it isn't poisoned. After he's done eating, she'll show him Queen Metallica.
But Mamoru is more concerned about the shitennou.
Mio says that most of them are alright, but one of them seems to have vanished.
That settled, Mamoru starts eating, probably just to make her stop talking.

Beryl is wondering why Metallica has suddenly grown stronger. The purple light does seem a bit stronger, and now it has a source - a glowing purple rock hovering in midair.

Luna-the-cat is asleep in Usagi's room.
Usagi starts to glow with a golden light. She sits up and gets out of bed, softly calling Endymion's name.
Luna wakes up just after Usagi leaves.
She changes to a girl and runs out looking for her. As she's running down the empty streets, she hears harp music.

Back in the Dark Kingdom, the three remaining shitennou are gathered in Zoisite's music room. Zoisite is sitting at his piano, but for once, he isn't playing.
Jadiete is angry. He understands Beryl threatening the other three, but to threaten him too? When he's her most loyal shitennou? That doesn't seem fair.

In the "I've told you a million times before" tone of voice, Zoisite says it's because Beryl is not their true master - she's just using them. They should serve Endymion. Jadiete puts his hand to his head as he starts to remember.
Then the object of their conversation walks in.

The next day, Usagi's mother walks into her daughter's room. Usagi has been sleeping in far too late.
Usagi mumbles that she's getting up, which satisfies her mother.

After she leaves, Ami, her hair done up in odango-style ponytails gets up and lets out a sigh of relief. Usagi is still missing.
(Odd how if Usagi is missing one morning, everyone is all worried about her mother finding out, but when Ami spends weeks in the Dark Kingdom...)
Ami sheds the layer of pajamas she was wearing and goes back to her normal clothes.
Just then, Usagi's mother comes in.
They all stare at each other.
Then she tells "Usagi" to hurry and eat breakfast. She has to get to the doctor because she lost her contacts.

Ami is picking at breakfast - avocado sauce omelets. She doesn't seem to like it, and I don't blame her - it doesn't look all that good.
Shingo gives Ami a very strange look, but doesn't say anything.
Makoto arrives, and is somewhat amused to see that Usagi's mother thinks Ami is Usagi.

Rei has gone to ask Minako if she has any ideas. Once again, Minako is in her concert outfit she wore during the last two acts.
Minako is rehearsing for some sort of something, and the only way that Rei could get in to see her was to help her practice.
Minako hasn't seen Usagi either.

They don't remember a whole lot of how Princess Serenity used to be in the past life, but they are pretty sure that Princess Sailor Moon wasn't acting like Serenity used to.
But, Princess Sailor Moon certainly had a lot of power... perhaps a bit too much power.
Minako starts to refer to a battle in the past life when they are interrupted by someone carrying a space ship.
Minako says that the new girl, Mars Reiko (That's the singing name she had act 23) and that she has come to work on the script.
Minako promptly starts reading from her script, leaving Rei frantically trying to find her spot.
Then Rei realizes that she is supposed to be reading the part of Minako's mascot: Kupi. All Kupi does is say "Kupi."
Minako says that wasn't good enough, and she starts to dress Rei up, putting a hat on her. (Reminds me of Act Eight, when Rei entered the contest)

Makoto and Ami are talking to Luna. Luna is sure that Usagi had turned into the princess when she vanished... and she was playing the harp.
They'll have to go out and search again for the harp music.

A quick game of rock paper scissors ends in Makoto having to pretend to be Usagi.
She pinches her nose and tells Usagi's mother that she has a cold.
Luna-the-cat holds up a cue card to tell Makoto to be more Usagi-like, so she starts bouncing around.
Usagi's mother says she should be in bed, and she tucks her in. Then she mutters to herself that her eyesight must be getting worse - Usagi looks bigger!

Meanwhile, Ami runs around calling Usagi's name.

Back in the Dark Kingdom, Zoisite tells Mamoru that he should escape.
Mamoru says that he's going to help them.
Kunzite isn't impressed. He won't be in debt to Mamoru.
Mamoru says that he wants to know what happened. Then maybe he could prevent it this time around.

Kunzite still is not impressed. He draws his sword and holds it to Mamoru's throat.

Minako tells Rei that there was a rebellion on Earth, long ago. They think it was because of the forbidden love between the prince and the princess.
Rei is now wearing a very large Kupi hat.
But it was Metallica's power that let Beryl brainwash the people of the earth.

Kunzite and Mamoru haven't moved, despite Zoisite's protests.
Kunzite flashes back to the past, when he and Endymion were dueling. Kunzite is clearly a better fighter, as he throws Endymion to the ground.
He warns Endymion that he is too reckless. Endymion isn't too worried, because he has Kunzite to protect him.
All the same, they go again.

Jadiete starts to slowly remember... although it looks painful.
Kunzite starts to explain why he hates Endymion so much. That's to Endymion's betrayal, Kunzite lost everything. All he has left now is his revenge.
And with that, he strikes out at Mamoru, who ducks.

That's when Mio walks into the room, and all three shitennou are frozen in place.
She tells Kunzite that he must not hurt Mamoru or he will be in Big Trouble. She steps between the two, and then tells Mamoru to come with her to see Metallica. Mamoru pulls his hand out of hers, and then follows her.

Ami is still running around looking for Usagi.
She runs past a dimly lit building where a man dressed in black, with spiky black hair, is curled up next to a pillar.

He seems in a bit of a daze.
Flash back to when Nephrite died in the previous episode.
The man gasps and sits up, staring at his hands and looking himself over. He slowly rises to his feet and starts laughing.
He may look like a normal person now, but it's none other than Nephrite.
He laughs for about three seconds and then his expression changes and he growls Beryl's name.

Beryl smiles as Mamoru enters the cave. She greets him as Endymion.

Minako continues to tell what she knows about the past. Queen Beryl broke into the Moon Temple and then... something destroyed the Earth and the Moon. They don't know what it was.
Now Rei is in a full Kupi outfit - a blue suit and green gloves.

Someone over hears them mention Endymion and asks if Minako is changing the script, so she and Rei go back to practicing. He claps for them.

Beryl tells Mamoru that she has been waiting for him a long time.
Mamoru isn't impressed.
Beryl flashes back to the past, like in the last episode, as she remembers him.
Mamoru says that he's just human now, he's not what she wants.

Beryl shows him the pulsing reddish purple light that is Queen Metallica. When her power is complete, the Earth will be under the control of Beryl and Endymion.

Ami is still running around, but she's stopped calling for Usagi. She is hearing harp music that none of the passerbys seem to hear.
Ami calls Luna and the rest to report in.
Everybody meets up (Minako too) in an empty plaza.

Beryl has been wondering why Metallica continues to get stronger, even though the shitennou are no longer gathering energy. Metallica is even creating youma.

On cue, the creepy black and white youma emerge from the ground where the girls are gathered.
They Make Up in four-way split screen. Venus looks a bit off from the others.
Luna Makes Up as well
They pose five times and then cartwheel over to the youma and start the traditional PGSM style battle.
They use their tambourines to blast at the youma, but the trouble isn't over yet. More youma appear, headed in the direction of the harp music.

Beryl tells Mamoru that Metallica is reacting to the princess.

After a tiring day of blasting at the youma, the senshi finally hear the harp music again.
Princess Sailor Moon is playing the harp where she sits in a large circle thing.
Her harp has no strings.
Princess Sailor Moon says only one thing: "Endymion."

Beryl is telling Mamoru that he needs to eliminate the princess because she is the source of all of their troubles.

And then, back to Princess Sailor Moon and The Biggest Surprise of PGSM:
She turns to the senshi and says softly: "I destroyed the planet"
