The Deskjet 5650 is a midrange inkjet printer manufactured by Hewlett Packard. It was introduced at a price of US $150, reduced to less than $130, and is not discontinued. It features USB and parallel ports, to work with both newer and older computers.

Features

The Deskjet 5650 features a print quality selector on the front panel, allowing the user to select the level of quality without changing any settings in the printer driver. An optional duplexer is available for printing on both sides of a page. In addition, a 250 sheet paper tray is available to extend the capacity of the printer to 400 sheets.

This printer is rated to print up to 21 pages per minute in black and 17 pages per minute in color. Atlantic Inkjet. It can print photos at up to 4800x1200 image resolution.

The Deskjet 5650 also supports borderless printing of common photo sizes, as well as an optional 3 color photo ink cartridge to print in quality that rivals that of a photo lab.

Supplies

The Deskjet 5650 uses three different ink cartridges. It can hold two at a time, so one is forced to "swap out" the black when using the photo cartridge.

Black cartridge

The 56 black cartridge has a 19 ml ink volume. This cartridge is standard among many current hp printers, and is widely available

Color cartridge

The 57 color cartridge has a 17 ml ink volume.
