Makeshift started when a bunch of guys wanted to take a golfcart and make it off road worthy. We sat, thought and realized that we had no money to drop into this so we settled for what we had. This consisted of square stock conduit and some rattle cans. We actually made it work and it held up under rigerous testing...Trust me. People are leary of the word until they understand what it really means. We take as the middle class poeple who don't have millions but love to do what they do. So they get it done. 4x4 quads with a pvc snorkle, when your plastic breaks you stitch it with zip ties and so on. Makeshift reaches alot of people in the racing industry, hot rods and pretty much anything with a motor. We dont want people to think its all about shitty work, that is only temporary. It did start that way but we just kept the word. It seemed to happen every place we went not only by us but a shit ton of others. The main point behind Makeshift racing is to have fun, ride, and do whats nessesary to MAKE it happen. I hope this puts an insight on what Makeshift is really about, so dont be scared, because we know you all have one time or another.
