mWWE Rules

These are the rules for normal and alternate mWWE matches.

Breaks
In a standard wrestling match, a wrestler may break up a pinfall by either removing one of his shoulders from the ground, or putting any part of his body on the "ropes" surrounding the ring. A wrestler may break a submission by putting any part of his body on the "ropes" surrounding the ring.

Disqualifications A wrestler may be disqualified at any time if a referee sees fit. Below is an incomplete list of things a referee may deem inappropriate.
-Using an illegal choke hold for more than a count of three without breaking it. (Note: If someone enters the weapon into the match, it is up to the referees discretion to allow their opponent to use it on them.)
- Bringing a foreign object into the ring and/or using it.
- Abuse towards the referee, verbal or physical.
- Not breaking a submission after a wrestler has made contact with the ropes.
- Hitting an opponent in any area between his legs, below the waist and above the knees.
- Grabbing the attire of a wrestler.
- Biting, scratching, hair pulling or any pressure point" moves.
- Using ringside ropes for leverage in pinfalls and submissions.
- Using an illegal move [See section ILLEGAL MOVES]

Finishes
A standard match may end in four different ways:
- Pinfall: That is, a wrestler holding his opponent's shoulders to the mat for a referee's count of three seconds.
- Submission: That is, a wrestler making his opponent tap out in pain after locking in a submission maneuver.. To tap out, the wrestler must hit the mat palm down three times with the referee clearly focusing upon it.
- Disqualification: That is, a wrestler doing something illegal or not allowed by the referee. [See section DISQUALIFICATIONS and ILLEGAL MOVES]
- Count Out: That is, a wrestler leaving the designated ring area for a count of ten by the referee.
(Note: a victory may not be conceded for any reason.)

Illegal Moves
Other than the standard disqualifications, the following is an incomplete list of illegal, standard wrestling moves that may result in immediate disqualification from a match.
- "Crippler" Crossface: That is, bending your opponent's head in order to cause pain while on the floor. Any move involving this maneuver, such as an STF, will also result in disqualification.
- Any head drops: That is, any move that intentionally drops your opponent on his head or neck without protection.

Matches
Other than a standard, single match, there are many different types of other matches used in mWWE. Below is a listing of matches with a short description of them.
Battle Royal/Royal Rumble: In this match, which may contain as many participants as necessary, the object is to eliminate your opponent by making both of their feet touch the ground below or around the ring. The last person remaining in the ring is the winner.
Dark Match: Matches, in which all lights in the arena save for a solitary light hanging above the ring, are darkened. Match rules are normal, but hardcore rules may apply.
Fatal Four Way: All four people start in the ring. When one decision is scored, the person who won that decision is declared the winner and the match is over.
Four-Way Dance/Four-Way Tango: Two people start in the ring, with two people on the apron to tag. When a person wants to leave the match, tag one of other people. Once one person is eliminated from the match, they must leave and let the remaining person on the apron. After two people have been eliminated, the match continues with the remaining two people.
Hardcore/Falls Count Anywhere/Extreme/ECW Rules: In this match, the only purpose a referee serves is to declare a winner. Pinfalls and submissions count anywhere the referee is. Disqualifications and countouts are obsolete.
High Incident: Two competitors are on a raised platform [Normally six to eight feet above ground]. The first person to throw their opponent off the platform [usually onto tables] is declared the winner.
Ironman: In this one-on-one match, this match is to have a time limit. The person with the most decisions scored in this period is the winner. There is to be a fifteen-second break in between each decision. If there is a tie, an extra three minute period is added to try to determine a winner. Three-minute periods continue until a winner is decided.
King of the Mountain: A match in which the object is to climb to the very top of a flight of stairs, sometimes to reach an object at the top. The first participant to have both feet touch the top of the stairs [and/or grab the object] is the winner.
Ladder: In this match, an item [normally a title belt] is hanging above the ring. It is high enough you must climb on an item [chair, stepladder, ladder, etc...] in order to retrieve it. Once you have removed it from its resting location, you win the match. A variation on this match is to have the item resting on the very top of the ladder, requiring you to retrieve it with both hands from there.
Last Man Standing: In this no-disqualification match, the object is to literally brutalize your opponent so badly that he cannot rise up after a count of ten. If both wrestlers cannot answer to the count of ten simultaneously, the first to rise to his feet is declared the winner.
Pole/Item on a Pole: This match usually contains something hanging beside or above the ring. In order to win, you must grab that item and remove it from its resting location. A variation on this match is to give exclusive permission to the retriever of the item to be able to use it as a weapon.
Submission/I Quit: This match can be either hardcore or traditional. The object is to make your opponent either tap out or give up, either using submission maneuvers or simple brute force.
Tag Team: In this match, two teams of two people wrestle each other. To switch with a partner, the person must tag their hand. The first person to score a decision wins with their team.
Three-Way Dance/Triangle Tango: Two people start in the ring, with one person on the apron to tag. When a person wants to be refreshed, tag the other person. Once one person is eliminated from the match, the match continues with the remaining two people.
Triple Threat Match: All three people start in the ring. When one decision is scored, the person who won that decision is declared the winner and the match is over.
Ultimate Survival/Ultimate X: In this one-on-one match, this match is to have a time limit. The person with the most points scored in this period is the winner. For each pinfall scored, three points are awarded. Submissions are worth two points, with disqualifications and countouts are worth one point. There is to be a fifteen-second break in between each decision. If there is a tie, an extra three minute period is added to try to determine a winner. Three-minute periods continue until a winner is decided.
Water Cage: A two-doored cage is surrounding the cement sidewalk of a generally deep pool. On the diving board are a set of keys. The object is to obtain the keys and exit the cage by unlocking either one of the doors.
Water Sumo: In any type of pool, a water sumo match is a match where the only legal moves are pushes and shoves. Once a body part other than your feet touches the bottom, of the pool, the match is over. An illegal move, such as a punch or a wrestling move causes a strike. If a person obtains three strikes, the match is over and is awarded to their opponent. [See mWWE WATER SUMO CHAMPIONSHIP]
