History: Daquwada is a member of an extra-dimensional race of beings known as the Kahunas who were worshipped as gods by the Polynesian and Maori tribes of the Pacific Ocean. Due to his dual nature, he was known for both protecting swimmers and acting as a nuisance to fishermen. His main rival to protecting the fish in the sea was Tinirau, the octopus-god, who he fought to keep his domain in the sea. He is also known for protecting the goddess Pele when she resisted marrying Kamapua, the boar-god. Dakuwanga was also briefly held captive by the hero Maui to obtain the secret of immortality then returned to the sea.

History: Hina is a member of an extra-dimensional race of beings known as the Kahunas who were worshipped as gods by the Polynesian and Maori tribes of the Pacific Ocean. According to myths, Hina was created by Tame using the soil from the Earth to create a consort. After she was seduced by him, she realized Tame was also her father and fled to Po, the Maori underworld where she gave birth to Hina-nui-te-po, the goddess of death, who escorted the spirits of the death to the underworld. She later accepted Tawhaki the storm god as her consort. In recent years, she resisted a plot by the death-gods of several rival pantheons to merge their realms together to amass more souls in their perspective realms.

According to mythology, their quarreling created the islands of Hawaii, which Pele claimed as her own. The Polynesian tribes who were granted Hawaii as their home worshipped Pele as a mother-goddess, but Namaka cast spells to bind her sister's earthy remain to the islands. Namaka was later taken as a wife by Tangaroa, the sea-god.

History: Polivah is a member of an extra-dimensional race of beings known originally as the Atua by their Polynesian and Maori tribes of the Pacific Ocean and as the Kahunas by the inhabitants of the Hawaiian Islands. She fell in love with a mortal warrior named Aiwohihipa, but she later learned he was married and used mystical means to scare away his wife. Unfortunately, Aiwohihipa was also beloved by Polivah's sister, Pele. The two sisters quarreled often with Polivah exiling herself to the top of Mount Mauna Kea, often descending to quarrel and fight with her sister once more.

History: Rongo is a member of an extra-dimensional race of beings known as the Kahunas who were worshipped as gods by the Polynesian and Maori tribes of the Pacific Ocean. According to ancient myths, Rongo was one of the sons of the primeval gods, Papa and Rangi, whose tight embrace prevented light from reaching the Earth. Each of the brothers took turns trying to separate them until Tame succeeded with a mystical axe. In doing so, Rongo and the brothers were attacked by Tawhaki, the thunder-god trying to stop them. After Tangaroa fled to hide in the sea, Rongo replaced him in the high trinity of gods that included Tame and Ku. Credited with creating mortal man, Rongo made his sons, Tama and Marama, gods of the sun and moon and taught mortals how to grow and cultivate food.

History: Sina is a member of an extra-dimensional race of beings known as the Kahunas who were worshipped as gods by the Polynesian and Maori tribes of the Pacific Ocean. Sina was the most beloved of the gods and approached by several suitors as a potential bride, but she was taken as a wife by Tuna-Rua, the fish-god. Eventually, after being married to him a while, she grew restless and left his home after Tuna-Roa had been absent a while. According to one myth, Sina found him dying after a bad storm, and performed spells that unknowingly returned him to life afterward. Believing Tuna to be deceased, Sina was free to be romanced by Marama, the moon-god, who took her as his wife in Hawaiki, the home of the Oceanic gods.

History: Tangaroa is a member of an extra-dimensional race of beings known as the Kahunas who were worshipped as gods by the Polynesian and Maori tribes of the Pacific Ocean. According to myths, he was the brother of Tame, who separated the earth from the heavens. This act resulted in animosity from the thunder-god Tawhaki who tried to stop them, and Tangaroa fled to hide in the ocean where he became god of the sea. Tangaroa turned against the other gods afterward and remained constantly at odds as Tame taught mortals how to catch fish while Tangaroa attacked the islands with hurricanes and tidal waves. According to some myths, Tangaroa also fathered several of sea creatures, such as Tinirau the octopus-god and Kadavu, the squid-god.

The red lehua blossom was sacred to her. She was one of the several daughters of Tame, one of the chieftains of the Oceanic gods, and Haumea, the goddess of food. Tara constantly feuded with her sisters in competition to gain worshippers on Earth. In some myths, Tara is the wife of Rongo, the god of the harvest, whose wife is usually identified as Laka, the goddess of music and dance.

History: Tawhiri is the son of the Maori chieftain, Hema, the grandson of Tame, a chieftain of the Oceanic gods. As the off-spring of demigods, Tawhiri and his brother, Karihi, both had demigod characteristics and became Maori heroes, slaying evil spirits known as the Ponaturi for the murder of their father. He and his brothers shared several adventures until they decided to take their places among the gods. Granted a seed by his grandmother, Mahina, the cannibal-goddess, Tawhiri grew a vine that he climbed into heaven, becoming one of the gods and becoming reunited with his wife, Tangotango, the bird-goddess, and their daughter, Arahuta, the star-goddess, later replacing the god, Tawhaki, as god of thunder.
