Amadeus
Most of the angels were obedient to Heaven. However, some are just outright
rebels. And this is one of them.
-The room giggles-
His name was Amadeus. Whew! He was such a man! He towered over most of the male
angels in Heaven. Quite the looker too. His dark black hair was always slicked
back. The ladies had turned their heads as he walked by with his muscled body
and broad shoulders. Amadeus never wore the standard-issued uniform that Heaven
provided for him. Instead, he always looked like a biker or a soldier for a
run-down army. The best part about him? Those deep red eyes of his. Oh! One look
and a woman would turn into jelly before him.
I’m sure he was aware of it too.
-The room whistles-
Now, not much is known about Amadeus himself. He pretty much kept to himself and
acted like a lone wolf. The more straight-laced angels didn’t trust him. It
didn’t help that the ladies fond over him in Heaven too. Gabriel couldn’t
understand it.
“Why do you do this?” he asked one day. Amadeus didn’t look up from his
cigarette.
“Do what?” he asked.
“Everything! Your attitude, your clothes, how you live.”
The other angel just shrugged. “It’s just how I am.”
Mind you, he had his way with the ladies. Could you blame them? Amadeus couldn’t
remember a day when his desk wasn’t covered in love letters. Yet, he didn’t see
many of them that he considered giving a second look. Was he gay? No, far from
it. He just wasn’t looking for a relationship at the time.
That was until he set his eyes on her.
Enter Kaze-san. She too kept to herself, but she was more like a model angel. I
think she used to be a teacher or something. Still, it was unlucky for someone
like her to end up with an angel like Amadeus. But it happened—believe me. I
will try to shorten down how this relationship first materialized.
-The room leans in close-
Right before dating Kaze-san, Amadeus started going on many dates. They were
mostly one-night flings just to humor the angels. Gabriel, Michael, and Raphael
didn’t approve of this growing habit of his.
“We have to stop him,” Michael complained.
“How?” Gabriel asked.
“I don’t know,” his brother said. “Can’t we cause him to be fallen?”
“Not won’t work. He gets the big man results.”
Michael frowned. “Results. Always with the results!”
Gabriel shrugged. “That’s just how it is.”
“I can’t stand it.”
“That’s just how it is.”
The whole time, Raphael was thinking. He could already see a way to fix this
problem. “A woman.” His brothers turned to him with an odd look on their faces.
“Huh?” Michael asked.
“We need to get him a woman,” Raphael said. He held up his hand before they
could speak. “Hear me out. If we have a way to distract him, he won’t be
bothering us or getting in our way around Heaven.” The brothers frowned as they
slowly began to get it.
“Yeah, but who?” Gabriel asked.
“Someone pure and untouched by him, I guess,” Raphael said.
“By whom?”
Michael slowly raised his hand. “I have somebody in mind…”
“Who?” his brothers asked. Michael bit his lower lip before answering.
So it went. The archangels reluctantly arranged the date between Kaze-san and
Amadeus. The soon-to-be couple didn’t understand this arrangement from day one.
Though Kaze-san was cute in her own way, she was at the very bottom of his list
of lovers. Still, he decided to humor the archangels just this once.
“I know why you are here,” Amadeus said on their walk around Heaven’s big
garden. Kaze-san didn’t make eye contact.
“You already figured it out, didn’t you?” she asked.
“Yeah.”
“So what do you want to do?”
Amadeus shrugged. “I might as well stay. I have nothing else to do anyway.”
To his surprise, Amadeus and Kaze-san hit it off quite well. It didn’t take her
long to move in with him and be his common-law wife. It should be a beautiful
story from there, right? Well, if you know about the story of Sakura Tenshi and
the Great War between Heaven and the Living Realm, you would know that that was
the whole story.
I would get into more of that, but that would take too long. So, we are going to
pause here for now and go into the next tale some other time.
