Chapter Fifty: Daydreams:

Back to business as usual on the next day. Noiz ended up doing paperwork once again. This early in the morning too? The cat shook her head to herself.

That’s too early to do this crap!, she thought. The headmistress sighed and looked at the ceiling. Her mind floated back to her vacation last night. Her chest felt warm with her memories about it. She licked her lips in hunger again. Noiz looked over at her clock on her wall. The kitty frowned at the results.

Eight in the morning?, she thought. She looked down at her paperwork. Well, guess it’s time to bring out the old imagination. Noiz dug around in her brain for a minute. The question was, where to begin?

Her fantasies about Mosh were like chocolate—so many flavors to choose from. It all just depended on what she was in the mood for. Surreal? No, not this time. Realistic felt much better this morning. Well, maybe not too realistic. Maybe a combination of the two? Noiz sat back in her chair and smiled. That will work. Now for her clothing to wear for this daydream. Nurse? Nah. Chef? No. A sailor? Noiz snickered to herself on that thought. She did like dressing up like a sailor girl from time to time. Plus, they had just got back from the beach.

Okay then, away to sailing she went. Off to fish for the wild mouse fish. Cute little sailor outfit with a harpoon in hand. She sailed the pink cotton candy seas for the elusive great mouse fish! Uh-oh there’s a huge storm approaching. The brave sailor sticks to her guns.

I can take this!, she thought. “Man the boat at full speed ahead!”

“Yes ma’am!” her crew yell back. The boat sails faster through the pink storm. Captain Noiz looked through her periscope when she sensed something in the distance. Her heart raced in excitement. Holy crap! Is that…, she thought. She adjusted the lenses for a closer look. Her own eyes widened in high surprise.

“It is!” she said with a gasp. “It’s the great Mousey Fish!” She threw aside her periscope and raised up her harpoon for the attack.

“Noiz-san!” someone called to her in real life. The kitty headmistress looked up to see Miho poking her head in the office doorway. Noiz frowned at her for interrupting for private sea moment.

“What is it?” she complained.

“Do you have in the paperwork yet?” her employee asked. Noiz blinked at her for a moment.

“Huh?” she asked. She looked down at her desk and saw her work still before her. Her face fell flat.

“Oh,” she said with a nervous laugh. “I’ll get it to you by lunchtime!” Miho only blinked at her.

“You sure that you’re okay?” she asked. The kitty quickly nodded.

“Yes, yes!” she said. “I’m fine! Just get out now!” Miho quickly put up her hands.

“Okay, okay,” she said. “I’m leaving, I’m leaving!” Then, the woman turned and left. Noiz breathed out exasperated. So annoying; oh well. To be continued on the Captain Noiz daydream. For now, she had to work. Sigh, so annoying.
