Guardians
After the great flood, the earth became unrest. The elements pushed against each
other for some form of control. Heaven had an immediate meeting. After some
talks, they decided to create guardians to stabilize the elements of the world.
Seven powerful beings were made to hold the living world together. Just like the
earth, they were created in seven days.
Fire
On the first day, Kami reached down into a fiery volcano. He had to make the
first one as strong as an ox. When this guardian breathed out smoke blew out
from his nostrils. His body stood taller than the mountains of the world. He
wore armor made of the thickest steel. Every muscle on his body looked like it
would pop. The female angels whistled as he walked by in Heaven. Even his
footsteps shook the clouds as he walked. Kami decided to place this fire
guardian in the north.
Water
On the second day, Kami reached down into the sea. The second guardian was
gentle, but strong. Her hair left a wake of mist around her. Her curves
reflected the movement of the living world’s waters. One look into her eyes and
the male angels were smitten. Her long white robes gracefully covered her
junoesque figure. Her gentle, mothering nature more her that much more
desirable. Kami decided to place the water guardian in the south.
Air
On the third day, Kami reached up into the sky. The third guardian had a playful
nature surrounding her. Hiroko and her children were more than happy to help out
with this one. The air guardian looked so young in her face. Her laughter could
be heard across the sky itself. Many angels saw her as ideal little sister
material. This guardian was so generous and loved to be around children. It
could be said that this was because she grew up around Hiroko’s own children and
grandchildren when she was born. Kami placed the wind guardian in the west.
Lighting
On the fourth day, Kami reached beyond the clouds. With all of his might he drew
out guardian number four. This one took form into a brash young man. His wild
hair reflected his bold soul. The female angels swooned when they saw him. The
young guardian knew of his charms and flashed them off towards the girls
whenever he could. He wasn’t afraid to speak his mind either. Despite the little
blow-ups between the male angels, they got on quite well with the young man.
Kami himself found that he was proud of his own work. Still, the lighting
guardian need a little more softening to do his job properly. As a result, Kami
placed him in the southwest.
Wood
On the fifth day, Kami reached down into the forest. The fifth guardian looked
like an old man with glasses. He never really spoke much. In fact, he loved to
read. The angels and other guardians tried to figure him out. The younger female
angels thought he was a cute grandpa. He would wander around in the woods that
he was born in, lost in his thoughts. Occasionally, he would hold up his hand as
if expecting the rain to fall. When the guardian wasn’t reading, he enjoyed
learning more about the spirits of the forest. Kami decided to place him in the
east.
Tin
On the sixth day, Kami reached deep down into the earth. The sixth guardian
looked like a little boy. The female angels couldn’t help but fawn over him. The
freckles on the child’s face made him look much cuter when he smiled. He always
had questions about the world. The angels were more than happy to give them
their views. He loved clouds and sweets. New things always fascinated him. He
always looked up to the lightening guardian and came to see the water guardian
as his mother. Kami decided to put the tin guardian in the northeast.
Light
On the seventh day, Kami reached into the sun. The seventh and final guardian
was a little baby girl. Most of the angels fawned over her while the arch angels
had their concerns. How could a baby be an element guardian? However, Kami
already saw the endgame with this little girl. He knew that she would grow up
and become a leader to the other guardians. Probably the reason why he made her
so little to begin with. As a result, Kami placed the guardian of light in the
center of the living world.
Within those seven days, the elements of the earth became stable again and the
living world healed and became whole.
