The girls at Tokyo-Zion Academy were the only reason I hadn’t stabbed myself in
the neck yet. I mean this school had some fine bitches here. I couldn’t stop
turning my head. Now, I understood why Japanese people find the schoolgirl
uniform sexy. I actually didn’t mind looking at them anymore. It didn’t take me
long to see her.
This lil’ mama… whew! I didn’t know angels worked at this school. I saw her when
she was greeting the students at the door after summer break. She handed out
flyers they walked by. I think she looked at me for a second. That was all it
took for me to not forget those brown eyes of hers. I stared at her as I walked
by. Angels shined their light on this lil’ mama as she called out to me.
“Look out!” she said. “Look out!” I gave her a goofy
grin. Look out for what I won—Wham! My
face hit doorframe, sending me tumbling backwards. I rubbed my nose as I sat on
the ground.
“Are you alright?” Lil’ Mama asked. I couldn’t hear her over the laughing behind
me. I gritted my teeth.
“Shut up!” I shouted. I shoved her off and ran into the building. Okay, that
wasn’t my coolest moment. But I would have chances to woo her again.
-------
Funny thing, those chances never seemed to go my way. First off, I didn’t know
much about the lil’ mama with the curly red hair. I would see her around the
school sometimes, but I never had the chance to talk to her. So, I decided to
snoop around to learn more about her. I followed her back to the teachers’
office one day. I stared at the way her hips moved as she walked. For days, her
movements have led me to walk into walls and doorways. Why must girls walk so
suggestively. Anyway, back on track.
Lil’ mama was carrying a stack of papers to her chest as she walked up to the
teachers’ room. I hid around the corner and watched as the door opened.
“Ah, Addison,” Noiz said. “So glad you brought the
papers with you. Come in.” I smiled as Lil’ Mama walked to the office.
Addison, huh? I crept across the hall
and pressed my ear to the door. Addison and the teachers just talked about
boring stuff like school and writing. I did enjoy hearing her voice, though. You
know the sound of warm running in a nice hot shower on a cold day? Addison made
me feel so relaxed and warmed up when she talked. Sadly, I got in trouble again
for not being attention.
I had my ear pressed up against the door so hard that I fell into the room when
it opened. I hit the floor so hard that I didn’t have a chance to reaction.
“Whoa! Ow!” I shouted. When I looked up, I saw Addison looking down and shaking
her head. I stared at her, blinking.
“Oh,” I said.
“Why do you keep following me around?” she asked. I sat there with big eyes.
“Huh?” I asked.
“You didn’t think I saw you following me a couple of minutes ago?” Addison
asked. My face dropped when Noiz and the teachers stared at me.
“Oh…” I said.
“So why are you following me?” Addison asked. I jumped straight to my feet.
“Because you’re hot!”
Addison gave me a strange look as she tilted her head. “What?”
Before I knew it, I grabbed her by the hands. “Please go out with me?” I didn’t
care if anyone was looking at me funny. I held my breath as I waited. Lil’ mama
tried to laugh it off at first.
“What?” I asked. Addison pressed her lips together.
“I’m sorry,” she said few she looked like she was struggling to say something.
“You are pretty cute, but…”
I raised an eyebrow. “But…”
“You’re… just not my type.”
I frowned when she said that. “Was it because I pushed you away after I walked
into the doorframe.”
Addison shook her head. “It’s not that.”
“Is it the stalking?”
“Sort of, but no.”
I really became confused by this point. “Then… what is it?”
“I like someone else. Sorry.”
I felt myself crumbling inside as I dropped her hands. I could barely hear Noiz
and teachers saying I got burned and ouch as Addison walked past me out of the
room. What… just happened? Still, my heart didn’t know how to let her go.
