This is the most boring thing I had to read. Orwell’s essay and the essay on torture were worse than Pepy’s diary.

Orwell wrote an essay about Modern English. He is complaining about how bad it is. He seems to be poking fun at it in the process. I also noticed, that half of the essay sounds just like the novel, 1984. Duckspeak shows itself in both the essay and 1984. Orthodoxy does the same as well.

For the essay on torture, it in way breaks some of Orwell’s rules he laid down. Un- and dis- words are used constantly. Jargon words are over used as well.
