A Prayer

Lord, every day I awake

Promising this day

Better

To make

I ask for prayers

For friends far and wide

Then leave it to you

To decide

I try to set

An example so clear

Yet when I slip

I always hear

"It's ok my child

You see

I do forgive

It's plain to see"

How can you love

One who is always falling down

And keep picking us up

When we hit the ground

That is why

Faith is important to me

For you always

Show the light I see

So today one more time

I ask of you

Watch over my friends

And maybe me too
