Confused thinking

If one looks at things a piece by piece, as if they consisted of words or pictures in a school book, one gets a confused picture of things: here is a leaf, here something characterised by the red colour, here a foot, here something soft,... Each thing connects to an enrmous number of other things, bringing many associations, and the scene changes drastically all the time. This is contrary to the situation of a holistic view: this is my room, with each part in its correct place and its correct role in the whole. You do not need extra intelligence to use a holistic view - it is just a good habit. A holistic view in thinking is connected to a holistic view when watching the world: it is very easy but a habit that one needs to have. A too small focus brings a partial confused view, so use a wide well understanding non-classifying but instead clearly sensing way of watching. A classifying way of thinking puts a holistic view to words: it makes the scene a mosaic of partial views. Use instead a sensitively sensing way of looking at things: so you get a much finer vocabulary without giving up the holistic view.
