Honesty is important in aiming at health of action. Since in all action the idea is that the action correlates well enoguh with how things are and that is impossible if one cannot know how things are because of all the lies. So honesty is important for the health of the society: honesty in the most important matters of life and death is a must for the society to function well at all.
