How does it affect things in practise to have honesty as a value?

Valuing honesty is a different thing from attacking all that are found guilty of something. In order to be able to correct things at all, you must have honesty as a highest value, so that correcting things comes only as a second goal. And to be honest, you must admit that you cannot correct everything at once. Instead you must start a little by little, for example by discussing what would be the best alternative for all and why and recommending it to all. Then you can start to influence things toward the best option a little by little and not all at once. This is very much different from the practises in countries where honesty is not valued in everything. And this should be sometyhing that you could adobt at once without there being too much opposition to it. Just calm down those who yearn for an immediate revenge instead of justice in the long run.
Honesty allows us to get a correct picture of how things are, so that we can build our actions on a strong trustworthy ground. It allows treating each thing according to what it is like. As such its value is close to the value of objective thinking with a holistic view, justice, the reason behind the success of market economies and product development: giving each thing feedback according to what it is like.

Valuing honesty and sincerity instead of valuing a "beautiful" outer form only is a difference between the cultures of Finland and Sweden. This is an important difference because honesty and sincer5ity aloow the spreading of understanding from one individual to another and to the whole culture: what one has noticed to be a good way to live can they correctly communicate to others too. But if the Swedish would try to do the same, they would manage to communicate only to the level of other form instead of to the level of actual understanding aND REAL BEHAVIOUR. So that understanding fails yto spread in the Swedish culture even though all outsiders think that the Swedes do understand. That makes them do enermous errors in their calculations about what is good to do, like not understanding that like it is banaficial to have a good standard of living in a country aND PEACEFUL PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS, it is good to have the state of the world peaceful and otherwise well. This I say because it appears that the Swedish speaking Finns sabtage the Finnish culture and that is completely against what Finns would do in any other country, including Sweden. It is propable that the Swedish consider Finland a rivalry while the FInns consider Sweden a friend. Well, so it appears that the Finnish culture does not spread as easily as it should, considering how much good it has to offer. Maybe others do not understand that honesty and sincerity would be good choises in the tough world, but if we Finns think that we have the very best or at least extremely good choises in our culture and society compared to what others have, why not claim it out loud?! Never seen it being a drawback to be the strongest in some sense...
