The Moon's Veil
Tears shadow the moon from this world,
The moon she's a sad and solitary girl.
Crawling in her shell to hide her face,
She's sad and lonely in this time and place.
As the sin of this world runs down across her face,
In this sad and lonely time and space.
The world has turned it's back and left her alone,
To drift by herself in this dark lonely tone,
She doesn't shine her bright shiny light,
As her lover has left her alone, and things are no longer right.
The bright beams of her I wish to see,
Please pretty earth reveal your face to her again,
So she'll lift up her veil and let her light shine again.
As in the days her lover turned to her with glee.
Until he left her in this lonely state of gloom,
It seems the bright rays of happiness can find no room.
