Midnight Flight
We are flying across the Atlantic without a
care or reason why,
The stars are so beautiful above the moon light that shines on
the water through the midnight sky.
I lay my head upon your wide muscular chest,
and listen to your slow, soft, steady heartbeat
as I lay there in rest.
Your arms all wrapped around me, holding me so tight,
Keeping me safe and warm as we fly through the night.
Your whispering "I love you" softly,
so sweetly in my ear,
You always seem to know exactly what I need to hear.
You brush your hands through my hair,
and then across my face.
Your stare locked in mine, in this beautiful
solemn place.
I feel so safe and warm just knowing that you are there,
knowing that you love me, and knowing that you care.
