There's no connection between the first man of the first generation - Shantiah - and the first man of the second generation ( ? - psychic source don' t mention his name... The purpose of the rebellious was to stop the influence of the Sons of Flame to the humans - basically, to make a "rapture" between sky and earth.

The second battle had several phases /stages and lasted a long time. The last campaign got dramatyk : the angelyk army ruled by Michael destroyed part of the proto-Earth, while massive part of the humans of the third generation got destroyed, along to many luciferyks and lorehh. Obviously, the corporal death involved the "removal" of the humans into the "world beyond".
