The automated external defibrillation (AED) course has been developed for those first aiders who have previous first aid experience and advanced resuscitation, the course allows the first aider to complete the resuscitation cycle and deliver life saving emergency pre hospital care to a casualty in cardiac arrest.

Prerequisite for this course is a current senior first aid certificate.

The course covers the setup, application and safety requirements for the AED.
