She

She could stand before you
Her heart bore to you
Warm and loving
Is the love that she ponds
Yet a past so deep
Regret eats her heart
They think they know her
And hold pity for her
For they think they have seen her
Yet if they were to see the side
That we know and reap
They would run from her
Screaming of the sight they seek
So she puts a mask over her face
And walks down the halls looking for escape
Very few people
Have seen her scared soul
Most leaving with a feeling of betrayal
Others staying because their love hasn't grown sail
So she cherishes these people
That hit so close to home
But carries a mask
So she's never alone
