    Elementary School: No. 9 in Raciborz in the years 1948-1955
    High School: by name of Jan Kasprowicz in Raciborz in the years 1955 - 1959
    Higher education: in the Silesian Medical Academy, Faculty of Medicine, Katowice
      
in the   years 1959 - 1965, graduating with diploma of a physician
       ( ~M.D.)  on 14.06. 1965
   Doctoral study: in the years 1968 - 1970 in a range of applications of
        mathematics in medicine under the guidance of the Institute of Mathematics
       of Polish Academy of Sciences in Wroclaw, Poland.
   Program of specialization in the realm of internal medicine  (I degree 1971, II degree 1974)

Scientific degrees and titles:

The degree of doctor of medical sciences (~ Ph.D.), granted by Silesian Medical
         Academy in 1970. The thesis sub title: Algoritmization of natural medical diagnosis.
The degree of "dr with habilitation" ( ~ Dr of Sciences), granted by Silesian Medical
        Academy in 1978. The thesis sub title: Software for the dialogues: patients-computer-doctor
The title of professor given by the State Council (President of Country) in 1989
The position of professor at the Medical University of Silesia - given by the Minister of Health on 20.06.2001
