Reader Reviews Average Reader Review: Number of Reviews: 36 1. Loved It!! Reviewer: Rachel. S. from London, Ontario Date: 12/14/2002 9:53:06 PM Wow! This book was one of the best book I have ever read. Normally I don't like reading but, I just couldn't put this book down for a minute! This book was very sad at times, but that little kid just never stopped going. Everyone should read this book!!! 2. EXCELLENT Reviewer: Willow from ottawa (willowvinillo@hotmail.com) Date: 2/13/2002 5:09:18 PM This book was the best book I have ever read. I loved it. Dave Pelzer made me feel like I was there and I really understood the book unlike some other books that I have read. 3. A child called "It" Reviewer: Kim Gatehouse from Calgary AB (kimmer141@hotmail.com) Date: 7/26/2001 8:35:49 AM This book however tragic , was an excellent read , letting people into an abused childs mind and soul . The simplistic way it was written enlightened , I'm sure many people as too the horrors some children face everyday of there lives . Hopefully next time when someone see's a child that is hungry , or in tattered clothes ... looking malnurished , they might lend a hand .. if only offering some food , a hug ,a way out, for that child . We can only hope , books like these however painful to read , will educate people . Open there hearts , and teach us to not just look away , but to address this social sickness . It is everyone's responsibility . I applaud David's strength in overcoming his adversities , using his pain to help others see , no matter "what" we have choices " . Kim Gatehouse 4. Unmistakably Realistic! Reviewer: Kelly from Lethbridge, Alberta Date: 7/14/2001 4:41:52 PM This book was AMAZING. I had heard about it from a friend and how much she loved it so I thought that I would try it out for myself. This book has the power to make you really see what it is like to have abusive parents and what the children go through. Wonderfully written. Can't put it down for a second. I can't belive how realistic this book really is!!!!!!!!!!! 5.
