PRE-TREATMENT:
TIMER HEADS

      * Automated Timer Heads are used on most pre-treatment devices to backwash or
         regenerate the device.

      * Timer Heads must be checked everyday prior to the first patient treatment.

      * Completion of the check is documented on the Daily Water Quality Monitoring Log

      * FAILURE TO MONITOR AUTOMATED TIMER HEADS MAY ALLOW PRE-TREATMENT
         DEVICES TO BACKWASH DURING PATIENT TREATMENTS EXPOSING THEM TO
         HARMFUL CONTAMINANTS.
