Ladies, Gentlemen, and Kaiju Fans, welcome to the first ever World Monster Wrestling Summer Squash! Last years show was canceled and this one was delayed for two weeks and one day, but here it finally is! Tonight we will have a tournament, one to decide the first ever holder of the "King of the Monsters Trophy"! It will consist of seven one on one matches, where the looser is "eliminated". The last one left will be declared the King of the Monsters (or Queen if need be)! The eight contestants of this historic set of battles have been chosen due to their history, success, popularity, and ability to be champions. From the board below you can tell who is fighting whom! The match-ups were chosen at random, with no two monsters paired up on purpose.

Gojira was chosen for obvious reasons. King Ghidorah was chosen due to his many historic appearances, success in WMW's tag-team division, and because he has been voted the fan favorite "Bad Kaiju" (tied with Destoroyah). Mothra is also here due to historic appearances, as well as being one of the most recognizable kaiju around. Gorgo was chosen not due to her long history, but her success in WMW. She has won the United States title three times; the first time a belt has been won that many times in WMW. She is also good at holding onto it. Bagan is in the tourney due to being the current World Champion, as well as his obvious raw power. Kong is a classic; he has been stomping cities since the 1930's. He hasn't been all too successful, but he is an American icon, and is here to represent the United States. Gamera was chosen for the same obvious reasons as Gojira. Anguirus was originally suppose to be in the tournament due to being the current Japan Champion, but he backed out to let his good friend Rodan in. Rodan is more than worthy to be with the rest here. Not only does he have widespread notoriety, but has been successful in WMW before, especially with the World Title. These eight kaiju are the participants, but there can be only one winner! The rules are the same they usually have been here at WMW. If a monster pins, kills, or causes their opponent to submit, then they win the match and go on. These bouts will not take place on the usual Battle Island, but far from it. The monsters are here now and ready to do battle on the one and only Planet-X! Situated in an orbit close to Jupiter, this dark and barren planet was only recently discovered in 1966. However, upon landing and exploring, the astronauts of Earth found that it was inhabited. The Planet-Xers then proceeded to try to take over the Earth, but were defeated by a simple sound. They then became allies of Earth, and are now considered a sort of separate country. WMW has had close relations with a number of the populace, using their technology to make WMW possible. Now, in conjunction with our counterpart, the XMW, we bring you this tournament of champions! The field of battle seen in the map below is a typical one, chosen because it is typical. With nothing but dirt and rocks to use, it truly is a one on one match. So now, it is time to begin the tournament to decide the King of the Monsters!

Well the first match we have here is a battle between two long-time rivals, Gojira and Ghidorah. Throughout history, these two have fought each other on more occasions then probably any other. And now, they will fight again. Last time they fought in WMW, King Ghidorah was in his cyborg form, and got himself blasted to pieces. He has improved his fighting ability as of late, and so he does stand a chance at getting the prestigious trophy. After all, Planet X is his home turf (or at least one of them). So here we go with the beginning of the tournament, the first of seven matches!

Gojira                 King Ghidorah

Like a demon in the night, the tremendous gold dragon of King Ghidorah flies over the barren landscape. He lets out repeated crackling roars from his three heads, and at the same time blasting the ground below with his yellow gravity ray bolts. He causes huge gashes all around for no apparent reason, and then lands with a tremendous thud, cackling like crazy and ready to battle. He looks around in all directions at once, watching and waiting for his opponent to show himself, but Gojira is no where to be seen. Ghidorah stomps forward, his heads still buzzing around wildly, getting more anxious by the second. All of a sudden, his frustrating wait is ended as the massive form of Gojira bursts out of a mountainside, shooting his powerful thermonuclear breath beam strait for Ghidorah! His hide-and-strike sneak attack worked, for the brilliant orange beam collides smack dab into Ghidorah's chest, hurling him backwards to crash on the rocky dirt behind him! Smoke billows out of the gaping wound on his chest, and Ghidorah struggles to get up as Gojira advances. The giant dinosaurish fire monster lumbers forward, each step causing huge craters in the Planet-X soil. His massive form is dwarfed by Jupiter above, but his powerful built and raw power are still very evident. Ghidorah has gotten himself to his knees, and while trying to stand straighter, he spits forth a couple of gravity rays! The electrical bolts race across Gojira's form, but despite the power of the things, Gojira keeps coming forward! Ghidorah gets fully upright and ups his assault with all three rays, blasting Gojira's arms, chest, and head! Each hit causes notable damage in the form of smoke, flying pieces of skin, and occasional blood, but Gojira doesn't back up a bit! He keeps walking forward through the storm of lighting, not stopping for nothing! Finally he reaches Ghidorah, and goes strait from slow walker to fast puncher! He keeps clobbering Ghidorah's heads over and over again, bashing them like punching bags! Ghidorah tries to fly upwards, but Gojira grabs onto his leg and rips him violently out of the sky to slam him hard against the ground! Prone on his stomach, Ghidorah can't stop Gojira from coming over to crush one neck with his foot, bite down on another with his teeth, and bash the third with his fists! Ghidorah squeals in pain from every stomp and punch, his two tongues flapping wildly in each head! The assault continues until Ghidorah manages to blast Gojira in the head at point-blank range, causing him to clutch is sizzling forehead as Ghidorah gets out from under him! He takes to the air as quickly as he can and flies away. Gojira just stands there and watches him go, and then roars in victory! However, is victory is cut short as Ghidorah turns around and heads back even faster then when he left! Gravity bolts fly around all over the place, occasionally catching Gojira to deal even more damage! Gojira fires a thermonuclear breath beam, but Ghidorah quickly ducks under it! When he gets up to his advisory, Ghidorah slams his feet into Gojira at full force, causing Gojira to be sent painfully backwards, plowing the dirt with his back spikes! Ghidorah flies strait up, and then dives strait down at amazing speed to crush Gojira with a mighty stomp! Gojira gives a quick yelp in pain as a couple of ribs impale his lungs, and Ghidorah flies back up to stomp again! Before being stomped a third time, Gojira sends out his beam, which collides strait into Ghidorah's left wing and blasting a big hole right through it! Unable to fly properly, Ghidorah is force to do an emergency landing. Gojira pulls himself free of the dirt and crawls up to charge strait for Ghidorah to ram into him! He follows up by socking Ghidorah with repeated blows to the stomach, but Ghidorah snakes his middle head around Gojira's throat, choking the life out of him! Gojira tries to rip the head off of his neck, but the other two heads bite down on his hands! Gojira is foaming at the mouth, and blue sparks start to emit from it to! With a blinding flash of light, Gojira detonates a nuclear pulse, sending Ghidorah off of him in a hurry! Gojira stomps over to Ghidorah, violently lifts him up, and does another nuclear pulse! Knocked a few gold scales off with that one! Gojira then grabs onto all three heads, and with a powerful upward tug, he sends Ghidorah over his shoulders in a wide arc, slamming him into the dirt with the Goji-Suplex! He continues to hold onto the necks, and then whips Ghidorah over his head again with a reverse Goji-Plex! And with one last tug in the opposite direction, he Goji-Plexes Ghidorah for the third time! King Ghidorah, once an awe-inspiring golden dragon so powerful he could destroy a planet alone, is now a crumpled heap of broken bones and torn flesh. The barely alive creature withers in agony from his many rock-filled wounds, and Gojira places his foot on Ghidorah's ruined body for an uncaring pin. 1... 2... 3! And the match is over! Gojira has won his quarterfinal match, and will go on in this tournament!

 The second quarterfinal match will be between the two monsters that, if they win, will not be the "King of the Monsters", but the "Queen of the Monsters". Mothra has been around a long time, and has beaten many powerful monsters in her "save the people of earth" career. Gorgo has been around just as long, and even though she has not done much since her first appearance, she has been even more successful then Mothra in WMW. But whatever it is, these two are powerful monsters, and will do battle here for the right to go on in the tournament!

Gorgo walks around the area, surveying the territory that she has never been to before. She looks up at the scenic view known as Jupiter, and while she is doing that, three beams of energy blast her in the neck! She yelps more in surprise then in pain, and some more beams strike her body! The source of the beams is the mighty moth known as Mothra, and she flies forward while shooting her forehead tri-beams all across Gorgo's thick hide. However, the powerful beams barely even effect the huge aquatic dinosaur! Gorgo just stands there and waits for her opponent to come to her, but when she does, Mothra stops to hover and to release her powder! Gorgo starts to wonder what all the shiny stuff is for, but then huge green lightning bolts zap around the cloud, smacking into Gorgo on every ricochet! Mothra chirps in delight as she thinks she is winning, but Gorgo is unaffected as usual. With a forward strike of her mighty fist, she clobbers Mothra in the thorax to send her flailing backwards! Mothra lands on her back, stunned by the blow, and soon has to contend with a giant beast hacking at her with enormous claws! Gorgo keeps swiping, and with most blows Mothra's exoskeleton is cracked to reveal a green ooze of blood! Gorgo grabs onto one of Mothra's "legs", and simply plucks it off! Like a sadistic child with a moth, Gorgo lifts Mothra up to try to pull her wings off! Before she could, however, a massive thorax beam shoots out of Mothra and sends Gorgo backwards and away before she could get a good grip! Mothra flutters back up into the air, and Gorgo tries to run over to grab her, but Mothra is too fast. She circles overhead to rain down beams, while Gorgo just stand there, grounded as always. Lifting up a nearby huge bolder, Gorgo chucks it at Mothra, but the agile insect dodges. Gorgo throws another rock, but that also misses. With Gorgo only barely being hurt by Mothra's beams, and Mothra able to dodge any attack from the non-flying Gorgo below, we have a stalemate. Mothra must realize this to, because she goes in lower to circle around Gorgo, and since Gorgo can't turn around fast, Mothra easily comes up being Gorgo's backside. Diving down and forward, Mothra slams into Gorgo hard, knocking her face first into the rocky dirt! Mothra then quickly grabs Gorgo's tail, and flies upwards! Gorgo digs her claws into the dirt and hangs on, and Mothra struggles to keep a hold while trying to break Gorgo's! After a half a dozen tugs, the loose soil breaks free, and Gorgo is lifted up by Mothra! Gorgo flails around and tries to get free, but she continues on her ride into the Planet-X skies! Climbing higher and higher into the air, Mothra keeps going until they are about a mile up! To Gorgo's relief, and right after that terror, Mothra stops the ride and lets Gorgo off! Skydiving can be fun, but not really when you don't have a parachute! Gorgo tumbles about, falling down and down and down! She somehow stops the spin to go at a slightly better stomach-first descent, but a well place beam by the following Mothra sends her back into a tumble! With a thunderous boom, Gorgo lands... on her head! Dirt shoots through the air in a circle of huge waves, and with her body in the newly formed crater, Gorgo lays there, unconscious. Mothra, being able to fly and all, stops her skydiving experience with a simple flapping of her wings. She flutters down, and lands on top of Gorgo for a pin, releasing paralyzing powder for safe measure. 1... 2... 3! And Mothra has done it, she has beaten Gorgo! She may have nasty gashes on her body and a missing "leg", but with a little medical treatment she will be nice and fresh for her semifinal match! She is one step closer to being the undisputed "Queen of the Monsters"!

And for the third of our quarterfinal matches will be between Bagan and King Kong. Kong has been with us since the beginning, "us" being both WMW and the world has a whole, for he basically is the first giant monster to be seen trashing cities. Well, at least in the last century, which has had quite a number of them. Bagan is a more recent addition to WMW, and a relatively recent monster to. Even so, he is very, very powerful. As it has usually been said, outside of Gojira this guy is the most powerful around. The result for both these monsters is a shot at the trophy. But first, they have to get through each other!

Bagan                   King Kong

King Kong surveys the area, looking for nice boulders to throw. Sooner then he expected, his target is seen a distance from him. Kong grabs a good "chucking boulder" and flings it towards Bagan! It sails through the air, but before it hits, Bagan takes a might swipe that blasts the boulder to pieces! One projectile becomes many, and the shards just bounce off his armor! Bagan roars a mighty challenge, making sound waves so powerful they ripple the ground around him! Kong's reply sounds weak in comparison, but the thumping of his chest makes it clear that this is his territory (even thought technically it isn't). Kong runs forward to close the long distance, but Bagan runs to, and with blurring speed he gets up to the big gorilla to slam him backwards! Kong quickly gets back up to start to punch Bagan in the chest, but the result is that he hurts his hands more then Bagan! Bagan takes another swipe, this one hitting Kong, and sending him back to the dirt below with a bleeding arm! Electricity flows across his three horns, four energy stars form over his head, and then they fall down onto the prone Kong, slashing him badly! Kong gets right back up to nail Bagan with a standing clothesline, but instead of the usually effect of knocking his opponent down, Bagan doesn't even budge! Kong then grabs Bagan's arm and tries to fling him, but once again Bagan doesn't move at all! Bagan gives an evil laugh and electricity starts to flow on his head again, but this time Kong grabs his horn and absorbs the electricity! Surprised by the sudden turn of events, Bagan halts the beam he was going to produce, but then gets clobbered in the head with an electrified fist! Kong starts to wail on Bagan, sending his own electricity back to him in the form of vicious punches to whatever joints Kong can find! Kong lifts up Bagan's arm, and then punches him repeatedly in the armpit! Bagan takes a swipe with his other arm to stop the gorilla, but Kong ducks under and delivers and uppercut to Bagan's chin that was so hard Bagan is sent a few meters upwards! Bagan clutches his chin, feels that it is broken, and growls in obvious anger! He charges forward quickly, bashing Kong head over heals backwards! Kong once again gets right back up, sidesteps the second charging slam, and grabs onto Bagan's back! Kong lifts with all his strength, and actually succeeds in lifting Bagan over his head! Bagan twists and roars in both astonishment and anger, but then gets hurled across the rocky landscape to slam into a hill! A landslide half buries the massive beast, and Bagan looks even angrier then before. Kong runs forward to follow up his attack but before he can reach the fallen Bagan, a huge white-hot plasma beam shoots out of Bagan's mouth, slams into Kong's knee, and blasts half of his leg off! Kong collapses hard to the ground, skids for a bit, and clutches his stump, obviously in great pain! Bagan bursts out of the dirt he was in, runs over to Kong, and grabs onto his arm to lift Kong up. Kong desperately tries to gnaw on Bagan's hand to get him off, and Bagan does so, but only to bash him in the back with his other one. Laying face first in the dirt beneath Bagan's towering form, Kong has no chance of escape. Using his muscular arm, Bagan reaches down and grabs under Kong's chest, lifts him up with a spin, and slams him down with a one-handed powerbomb! Following up on his amazing move, Bagan stomps on Kong's throat for what appears to be a brutal half-hearted pin! 1... 2... huh? Bagan just lifted his foot, on purpose! I guess he's not done with Kong yet! Bagan stomps around Kong until he is facing the fallen gorilla from the front. The electricity zaps around his horns, his mouth opens, and a brilliant white beam shoots forth to impact against Kong's chest! A roar of pain and a bloody explosion soon follow, and Kong's chest cavity now has a gaping hole, revealing his mechanical heart! Bagan reaches down, grabs the piece of medical equipment, and yanks Kong's heart out! Holding the bleeding hunk of life-giving metal over the still alive Kong's face, Bagan easily crushes it, giving a dying Kong a depressing last site. Unemotionally dropping the metallic shards on Kong's now-dead bleeding body, Bagan faces Jupiter above and gives a very load roar of victory! He then walks away, pleased with himself and yet more then ready for the next fight. His next opponent will probably be tougher, but at the moment he seems unstoppable!

The next match is the last of the quarterfinals. It is between two kaiju who have fought each other before, most recently at the last Winter Wham. Like that time, one or the other will get the trophy, but not both! Rodan has long been a popular powerful monster, but so has Gamera. Gamera can absorb Rodan's Uranium beam, Rodan is resistant to Gamera's fireballs, Rodan has speed, Gamera has a strong shell, and both can fly. Fairly even match I say. Still, somebody has to win, and we will find out who!

Gamera and Rodan both start by flying at each other at amazing speed! They quickly roar in challenge, and then collide! Rodan has lifted up to hit Gamera with his chest, but Gamera just went strait, and ended up spearing Rodan in midair! Rodan tumbles downward, but regains control, and flies back up to rake his chest spikes across Gamera, causing sparks to fly all over his shell! Rodan then does a loop in the air to get back over Gamera, and then digs his talons into Gamera's arm! Green blood flows from the wound, but Gamera pulls the arm into his shell to light the rocket inside, ripping the talons loose! Gamera pulls his other arm in, and goes into "Saucer Mode"! He buzzes around in the air and slams into Rodan, digging into his skin like a buzzsaw! Rodan screeches in pain as his wing his torn down the middle, and then screeches again as the giant buzzsaw tears into his back! Rodan falls downward, and the two kaiju crash to the ground! Landing chest-first, Rodan has created a noticeable path in the ground with his body, while Gamera rolls on his shell away from Rodan, colliding against a hill and coming to a stop! Rodan does his best to pull himself back up, as groggy as he is from the pain. Gamera is barely effected due to his tough shell, and pops his limbs on out to start walking towards Rodan. He flaps his wings to flutter back up, and grabs onto an absolutely huge boulder! With a torn wing he has a tough time flying, but he still manages to lift the boulder in the air, having to use both legs to clutch a rock almost as big as he is! He flies over Gamera as high as he can manage, and drops it! The huge rock falls strait down onto Gamera, and hits him with a tremendous blow to the head! The boulder splits in two pieces over Gamera, and it looks like his head has disappeared! In all actuality he just pulled it in his shell, and once again his life is saved because he is a turtle! Rodan however just slams into Gamera to continue attacking! He keeps pecking at Gamera's head repeatedly, turning Gamera's forehead into a bloody mess! Gamera somehow manages to get through the onslaught of pecks to bite Rodan's neck! Rodan struggles to get free, but Gamera continues to hold with his teeth and adds his hands to hold even tighter! Wait a sec... Gamera is now absorbing Rodan's nuclear power! The Uranium energy inside Rodan's body, which gives him the power to shoot a beam similar to Gojira's, is now being sucked up by the a master at energy absorption! Rodan finally gets loose when Gamera lets him, flaps backwards as fast as he can to blow Gamera away, but it is too late. Gamera has charged energy into is hand, and he shoots it out via a powerful plasma beam! The beam collides with Rodan's chest, sending him down like 15,000 tons of bricks! With a massive wound in his stomach oozing blood and more coming out of his mouth, Rodan is on the road to the medics. Gamera however wants to end the fight, and so goes over and picks Rodan up in a sort of a vertical suplex, only to slam him down with Gamera's full weight on top with the move I pathetically dubbed the "Turtle Hammer"! A pin and a 1... 2... 3 latter, Gamera is declared the winner of the match! He has beaten Rodan to go on in this tournament! What was eight is now four, and those final four will now battle in the semifinals! Gojira, Mothra, Bagan, and Gamera are what is left, and after two more matches there will only be two!

Next up is a match-up we've seen before. Twice to be exact. Well, the third time could be the charm, and Bagan could beat Gojira this time! He is quite the powerful monster, and at the moment he is the World Champion. Then again Gojira, well, he's Gojira. Either way they have been randomly chosen to fight again, and so that is what they are going to do!

Gojira stands around on the rocky landscape, waiting for Bagan to arrive. He doesn't wait long. What looks like a simple dust storm on the horizon turns out to be Bagan himself, running towards Gojira so fast he is kicking up a huge cloud of dust! Gojira tries his best to be a moving target, but gets slammed really hard anyways! Gojira has just been run over like a dear by a truck! His body is hurled backwards to start rolling around in the dirt before bashing really hard into a rocky outcrop! Before he even realizes the great pain he is in, Bagan runs over to him again, lifts him up, and throws Gojira while still running! Gojira crashes hard to the ground again and skids into the nearby canyon! Bagan runs over to within site of the edge to blast the canyon up with his plasma beam! Tons upon tons of sharp boulders break off the canyon and bury Gojira alive! Bagan blasts again, and sends more rocks down to completely engulf Gojira! Bagan stands there, staring at the giant pile of geologically created material, and gives an evil chuckle. Gojira is battered, broken, and buried in the first minute of the battle! Just when it seems that Gojira has lost already, the whole pile erupts in a nuclear blaze, sending the rocky shards out in all directions! Shrapnel impales Bagan, and bursting forth from the canyon below is Gojira! He roars a mighty battle cry, and then runs up the broken side of the canyon! He slams his head right into Bagan's gut, and then follows up with repeated clobbering blows! Bagan takes a swat, but Gojira will not be shooed away so easily! He turns around and slams his tail hard into the side of Bagan's face, sending his massive body tipping and falling! Bagan tumbles to the dirt hard, and Gojira jumps on top of his fallen form to punch him repeatedly in the head! Bagan roars in anger, and with a mighty shove he hurls Gojira off of him! He pulls himself up, and then sends a few energy stars down on Gojira! His broken bones have partially mended already from the beginning of the match, but now Gojira's healing system has to content with massive jagged cuts all over his body! Gojira roars in pain, but just charges forward to continue attacking! He ducks down low, turns a bit, and hops back up, slicing Bagan's chest with his sharp back spikes! He continues to do quick back-thrusts to inflict more damage, but as soon as Bagan is fed up with being slashed, he punches Gojira's biggest spike so hard that it not only twists Gojira around, but snaps the spike in half as well! Apparently very angry now, Bagan bowls Gojira over with his heavy form, and then starts to hack away with his sharp claws! Blood spatters everywhere each time he takes a swing, causing Gojira a whole lot of pain and suffering! Not wanting to be slashed to death, Gojira detonates a nuclear pulse, sending Bagan back a ways to fall back first on the rocky ground! Gojira struggles to get his bleeding form upright, but Bagan gets up quicker! He roars in anger, and then charges forward at a blazing speed! He gets right up to the prone Gojira, but just before he strikes, Gojira whips his tail around and trips him! With his legs knocked out from under him, Bagan crashes face-first into the ground at full force! As Bagan is spitting out sand and gravel, Gojira uses Bagan's body as leverage to get up and once standing, applies a swift kick to Bagan's gut! He then walks over to clobber Bagan in the back of the head, but gets knock away by an angry backhanded blow! Bagan gets up in less then a second, begins to charge electricity across his horns, opens his mouth, and sends forth his plasma beam! Gojira tries to sidestep out of the way, but the beam catches his side and blows a big chunk off! Now in more pain then he was before, Gojira emits a very load cry, and slumps down to one knee, breathing heavily and on the verge of passing out due to his own nerve cells! Bagan is getting a kick from it, and then delivers a real kick to Gojira! He starts to bash around the injured fire monster, delivering more pain to distract from the main one! He slashes Gojira across the face, creating a nasty gash, and then wraps his other arm around Gojira's throat and lifts him up in the air! Gojira remains limp, not even struggling at all. Bagan just stares up at the bleeding kaiju apparently wondering what to do next with the now pathetic creature. The electricity races across his horns, his mouth opens, and Gojira pokes him in the eye! In that same instant that Gojira's claw impales his right eye, Bagan drops Gojira due to shock, clutches his eye due to pain, and sends his beam out wildly because he forgot about it! He wildly punches Gojira but catches him in the back and receiving a spike chip in the process! Right after he pulls the spike from his hand, Gojira's tail lashes out to clobber him across the cheek! Bagan then goes in an angry rampage, lashing out blindly in all directions! He suddenly falls to the ground as the still-on-the-ground Gojira elbows him in the back of the knee, and then Gojira climbs on Bagan's back! Bagan whips up to standing, but now has a kaiju on his back, as well as the same kaiju's arm wrapped around his throat! He back-elbows Gojira repeatedly, trying to stop his hold, but Gojira keeps hanging on! Bagan charges forward and suddenly stops while bending over, trying to flip Gojira off, but Gojira is holding on so firmly that he causes Bagan to bash his own head into the ground! As Bagan tries to extract his frontal horn from the dirt, Gojira tightens his grip, and Bagan's fate of suffocation becomes even more severe! Realizing that he might die from lack of air, Bagan starts to thrash around, bash himself against rocky outcrops, and rain down energy stars onto Gojira, but he won't let go! Gojira's arms are wrapped around tight, with his claws from his arm and his feet dug into Bagan's flesh, and no matter how Bagan tries Gojira's great strength won't give! Lack of oxygen starts to get to him, and Bagan starts to waver. He stands there for a few minutes, Gojira clutching to his neck and hanging off his back. Then, all of a sudden, he collapses. Even though Bagan has passed out, Gojira continues to hold for a while longer until Bagan's fate is fully sealed. Deprived of life-giving O2, Bagan has suffocated. Gojira slowly releases his hold, rolls over to face the sky, and waits for the medic teams to pick him up. For the third time, he has beaten the awesome power of Bagan. He has killed his foe, beaten the match, and now is one of the two finalists.

The second and last match of our semi-finals will be between Mothra and Gamera. This match, like most of the matches in the tournament, has been done before, and was actually in our first show for the Japan title. They will fight here again for the right of a chance to become the "King/Queen of the Monsters". Let's see who will win this time!

A flying saucer spins to the site of the upcoming battle. However, it is not the typical Planet-X variety, it is the monster known as Gamera. He lands in the dirt with a shockwave-causing boom, takes his head and legs out, stands upright on the back ones, and gives a battle roar! A giant moth comes to the site from the other side, but this is not a typical giant moth, this is one with more variety of powers then a normal insect, for it is Mothra! She screeches a challenge, and then sends out her tri-beams to strike across Gamera's form! However, being an energy-sucker like he is, he merely absorbs the beams. Just as soon as Mothra realizes her mistake, she is blasted with a plasma beam, sending her flapping wildly to the ground to smack into it! I can remember a time when Gamera couldn't do that, but in fairly recent times he has regained his old and very helpful power. He stomps on towards the fallen insect, but Mothra flutters back up to tackle him onto his carapace! She hovers over him and flaps her wings, sending currents of air forward to spin Gamera through the dirt! He spins with the wind for a while, slams into a mountainous outcrop of rock, and has a pile of boulders fall down on top of him! However, Gamera starts to spin under his own power, and takes to the air! He pops his front legs and head back out, but continues to propel himself with his back jets! A dogfight ensues, and Gamera sends out plasma balls to try to nail Mothra, but the agile moth swiftly dodges! She flies around, heads strait for Gamera, and wing-tackles him in across his front side! She then flies above and in front of him, and releases a cloud of paralyzing powder! His body temporarily immobilized, he careens out of control and heads strait for the ground! He regains control at the last seconds, and manages to make a slightly less painful crash landing. He stands up, and sees Mothra dive-bombing strait for him! He sends out three fireballs, the first two miss, but the third collides with Mothra's wing, sending her fluttering out of control to slam hard to the ground! She hits hard, bounces back into the air, and then slams down again! Prone on the ground, she can't stop Gamera from walking right up on top of her to stomp her wings! He jumps up and delivers a spiked elbow drop to her back, causing a crunch sound and a bleeding hole! Mothra flaps with all her might, and manages to knock the turtle off to get back to the air! Gamera also takes to the air via his saucer mode, and heads strait for Mothra! She dodges, but Gamera swings around for another pass! She flies to the side, but after a few more tries, Gamera finally hits her! His buzzsaw like shell rips right through her right wing, snapping it completely in two and taking all hope of flying out of her! She flutters the best she can to a reasonably soft landing, and Gamera lands across from her. Her beams are useless and she is grounded, and now has no hope of winning. Gamera prepares to shoot forth a killing fire stream at the flammable moth, and Mothra pleas for mercy. Instead of cold-heartedly burning Mothra to ashes, Gamera instead swallows his flames, walks over to Mothra, gently flips her over, and pins her. 1... 2... 3. Even without incinerating his opponent, Gamera has won the match! The guardian of the universe has spared the guardian of the earth's people's lives. Seems quite appropriate. Well now it's down to just two. Gamera, and Gojira. One will win the trophy, the other won't.

Gojira and Gamera are two of the most popular and powerful kaiju around. They have fought many times before, even at our last seasonal event, Spring Smash. They were the main event then, and back at our first Winter Wham, it came down to these two also. It seems appropriate for these two to end it again. Once again I would like to remind everybody that the match-ups were random, but considering the last two would always have been the two best, we would have a good match-up no matter what! So now for the final match, the one to decide the winner of the tournament, the one to decide who is the King of the Monsters. I am ready, the monsters are ready, the technicians are ready, the onsite Planet-X observers are ready, are you ready? Ladies, gentlemen, and kaiju fans... LET'S GET READY TO CRUMBLE!!!

Gojira                   Gamera

The monsters are in the field, standing there, staring, ready to fight. Both huge kaiju stand facing each other for a long time, wind blowing sand up and over their feet. Suddenly Gamera emits a very load battle cry, and Gojira answers! With the battle now underway, Gamera starts it off by sending out a trio of fireballs, each one just bouncing off Gojira's fire-resistant hide! Gamera sends out another three fireballs, but only succeeds in annoying Gojira! And annoying Gojira might not be a smart idea. Gojira runs up to Gamera and swings around to whip his tail at Gamera's legs! Gamera hops over the tail but gives Gojira an opportunity to slam Gamera's throat with his elbow! While Gamera is gagging, Gojira starts to wail on Gamera's head, bashing it back and forth! Gamera moves his head forward and bites down on Gojira's arm, tearing into his flesh with his sharp turtle teeth! Gojira growls in pain, and then kicks Gamera in the knee! Gamera stumbles and falls, but pulls Gojira down with him and lands on top! He starts to slash Gojira's chest with his elbow spikes, causing many red gashes across the front of his body! Gojira swings his tail up and slams it into the back of the turtle's skull, dazing him for just enough time to knock him off and stand up! Gojira starts to pound on the kneeling Gamera, but a spiked elbow strike lashes out and jabs him in the hand! Gojira roars in pain as he sees that his right hand has been run through by Gamera's left elbow spike, and then retaliates by biting Gamera's own hand, trying to cause damage for payback! Gamera struggles to get his hand free, and finally tugs it painfully away. Gojira spits out Gamera's middle finger, and then bashes Gamera in the kneecaps with his tail! As Gamera falls forward Gojira catches him to repeatedly knee him in his relatively soft underside! Gamera pulls his head and legs in, lights his jets, and tries to fly off! With nothing but smooth shell to grab on to, Gojira is forced to leg go. Gamera flies around all over the place, and Gojira shoots out his thermonuclear breath! The fiery beam slams into Gamera's shell, sending him out of control, but he regains it pretty quickly. He dives down strait for Gojira, turns to his side, and catches Gojira in the shoulder with his sharp spinning shell! Gojira roars in pain as blood squirts out of the wound, but as he is recovering he is nailed again across his side and sent hard to the rocky ground! Gamera lands on a nearby hill and rolls down it, trying to bowl into Gojira, but Gojira scoots out of the way and slams his tail into him, ending Gamera's little rolling adventure. As Gamera pops his head back out, it is slammed back in with a rock! Gojira chucks another rock, but Gamera swipes it back to Gojira! He head butts it back to Gamera, Gamera catches it and throws it, Gojira kicks it back, Gamera chucks it again, and the tennis match finally ends when the boulder nails Gojira in the groin! As Gojira is doubled over in pain, Gamera runs at him on all fours and bowls him over! Gojira's head hits the ground hard, and then his head hits harder as Gamera slams the back of it! Gamera continues to wail on Gojira until he quickly rises, giving a nasty gash to Gamera's arm as his spikes swipe by! Gojira grabs Gamera's tusks, quickly pulls Gamera's head down to bash him in the face with his knee! He continues bashing Gamera's head in until he is shoved backwards, but Gojira charges forward again to continue attacking! He keeps punching, kicking, head butting, and tail whipping Gamera, and only occasionally getting a counter-strike he completely ignores! Fed up with getting hurt, Gamera fires up his leg jets and flies up, giving Gojira a hot foot on the way. Gamera flies in an arc, and then sends out some fireballs down to Gojira, once again not hurting him all that much. Gojira just stands there and stares, waiting for Gamera to come down, sometime. Gamera flies a ways away, goes in low, and rockets towards Gojira at amazing speed! Instead of running away, Gojira runs towards Gamera, and the two collide together! Gojira is speared right in the gut, Gamera continues to go forward despite the forces against him, and they collide into a rocky outcrop, go through the rocky outcrop, tumble to the ground, and collapse! Both monsters very injured, it takes a long time for Gamera to get up, and Gojira is still laying there moaning in pain and clutching his stomach. He coughs up some blood from his internally bleeding stomach, but somehow manages to crawl to his feet. He gets up right when Gamera reaches him, and they both just stare at each other. The stare down lasts for a couple of minutes, and then finally Gamera strikes! Gojira's catches his arm, and Gamera tries to hit with his other arm but that one is likewise caught! Gojira then pulls Gamera forward with force and bashes their heads together! Gojira then head butts Gamera's head again and again, somehow ignoring the damage he is causing to himself! Gamera struggles free, gets a backhanded slash to the face, and then is flipped over Gojira's shoulder and thrown across the area! He lands hard on his front side, but gets right back up. Gojira gives a mighty roar, his spines glow orange, and a powerful blast of thermonuclear breath bursts from his mouth! It hits Gamera dead on, but he absorbs the energy from the beam, charges it into his hand, and sends out a plasma beam! It impacts Gojira's chest, causing a splatter of blood and skin chunks, but Gojira remains standing. Gojira clutches his bloody chest and stares at Gamera angrily. Gamera signals Gojira to shoot him again, probably for mocking purposes but Gojira does shoot him again! Gamera absorbs the energy, but Gojira sustains the beam longer! Gamera continues to absorb the energy for as long as Gojira keeps up the beam, and when Gojira finally stops, Gamera starts to glow. He is charging the energy he collected through his body, building it up into his middle front! An instant latter, a huge white beam almost as large as he is bursts forth from Gamera's body! However, and instant before that, Gojira has turned around, shot his thermonuclear breath into the ground, and used it to propel him upward! The massive beam passes under most of him but vaporizes his tail instantly, and the beam heads on to blow up a mountainside a mile away! Gojira continues to use his breath to "fly" for a while, and then lands right behind Gamera! Just finishing up with his beam, Gamera can't react fast enough, and Gojira grabs his arms, pulls them behind Gamera's back, and flips him over his head and into the ground for the Goji-Plex! Even without the balancing aid of his tail (which is now a smoking stump), Gojira has greatly injured Gamera's already self-injured front shell! Gamera roars in great pain as he lands, and a couple seconds latter has a rock shoved between his neck and his shell by Gojira! Gojira then backs up a little ways, runs forward, and jumps very high into the air! As Gamera looks up, he sees Gojira twist in the air and then come down fast strait for him! Gamera tries desperately to pull his head in, but the rock is blocking it! He tries to fumble it loose with his hand, but it is too late. With a tremendous thud, Gojira lands on Gamera's head... spikes first! As Gojira gets up, he leaves behind an unrecognizable mass of blood, skull, and brain. And with that head crushing, Gojira has killed Gamera, won the match, won the finals, won the tournament, and won the "King of the Monsters Trophy"!

Gojira has always been called the "King of the Monsters", and now he has a trophy to prove it! A Planet-X saucer flies in and drops the massive hunk of gold-plated space titanium at Gojira's feet. Taking the white pen that dropped with the trophy, Gojira ceremoniously signs his name on the trophy. After his name is permanently etched onto the base, Gojira chugs the "Nuke Champaign" that was in the cup! He wipes his lips, punches the air, raises the trophy over his head, and gives a tremendous roar of victory! For myself, Gojira, and the rest of us on Planet-X, good bye and good night!
