WMW LAST STAND RESULTS
July 5th, 2006 -- WMW's first major event in three years kicked off with a hardcore match pitting Jeremy against Marcus Black. Jeremy showed off the hardcore tendencies that led to him becoming the first WMW Champion, and attacked Marcus Black with kendo sticks, steel chairs, glass bottles & even fire! When all was said and done, Jeremy pinned Marcus Black after a Flying Legdrop to earn the moniker of "King of WMW".

Next up on the card was the submission match for the Unified WMW Tag Team Championship. Jacob Munford dominated Davyd Cassidy throughout the opening minutes of the match, turning every offensive manuever into a submission. Jacob Munford's power advantage was clearly on display throughout the match. After trading hold-for-hold thoughout the match, Cassidy locked Munford in his Figure-Four Sleeper Hold, and Munford lost consciousness. The end of the match was not without controversy, as the referee had failed to notice that Jacob Munford made a quick last second grasp for the ropes, as the ref dropped his other hand. Regarless of the outcome, your winner, and Unified WMW Tag Team Champion is Davyd Cassidy.

Lastly, in the main event, which was originally scheduled to be Jesse Swanson defending his WMW Championship against The Insurance Policy, the commisioner made a last-minute decision to change the main event to a triple-threat match, pitting Swanson against The Insurance Policy, and Marcus Black. Black & The Insurance Policy worked together to double-team the champion, but after Marcus Black went for a pinfall attempt, the bad blood that has been boiling between The Insurance Policy & Black came to a forefront. The Insurance Policy broke up the pinfall attempt, and the three of them went at it. Near the end of the bout, Jesse Swanson hit The Insurance Policy with all of his signiture moves, but the big man kicked out, and Marcus Black hit Swanson with the 9/11. Before Marcus could capitalize, the match was over... when Marcus hit Swanson with the 9/11, he had inadvertantly come crashing down on The Insurance Policy, and the referee had already counted the three, allowing Jesse Swanson to retain the WMW Championship.
