- “Rush is usually pretty funny, but this week he pointed out a very serious inequality as far as women POWs are concerned. Women actually face far MORE risk than men if captured especially in brutal Arab nations…cowards like the Iraq “soldiers” who use their own women and children as shields, who degrade women as a matter of course, wouldn’t hesitate five seconds to rape any female “infidel” that came under their control.”
- “Gender should not be an excuse to hold women from achieving their potential. But both the Bible and nature clearly teach us that women and men are not equal in certain areas…in general, men are stronger then women.”
Since men exert power over women in Middle Eastern countries, we feel that this derogatory view would cause female POWs to be treated worse than the male POW. In regards to men being stronger than women, this may be true in many cases. However, women have shown extraordinary amounts of strength when necessary. If women acknowledge the fact that they will most likely be treated differently than men in certain situations, such as if they are captured, then there is no reason a women shouldn't be permitted to go into combat.
