My favorite web sites are http://www.hiltonwaikoloavillage.com/index_flash.asp , http://www.konabeachhotel.com/ , and http://www.maunakeabeachhotel.com/.
http://www.hiltonwaikoloavillage.com/index_flash.asp has nice pictures that shows you what their hotel is like.
They have drop down menu's so room is saved, and finding things is easy. Also they have a section full of current news so you know that the site is updated regularly.
The words stand out against the background so you can read the words easily. Everything seems to harmonize.
My second favorite is the http://www.maunakeabeachhotel.com/. The background make the website seem like you are actually there in Hawaii. It gives you a tranquil feeling. You are instantly drawn to the images and words in the middle.
Browsing the site is like using tabs. From the main thing you want to look for then, it breaks down into more detailed things you are looking for.
The information on the pages is small so you don't have to scroll down or across to look at pictures or information.
The words stand out nicely against the background, so it is easy to read. The way the site is design looks like it is acutally written into a journal then put on the pages. But putting the links to different pages on the right side is a bit strange and takes getting use to because many people are use to it being on the left side of the page.
The words are positioned in the pages nicely but you do have to scroll down a lot because of the tons of information. They also save room by making the pictures into a animation. so you only have to wait to see the other images. Because of the size of the page, there is a link that brings you back up to the top of the page at the bottom.
