Golgi Apparatus

The golgi apparatus is a system of membrane sacs or vesicles that package macromolecules for release outside of the cell or to other organelles. Inside the golgi apparatus are vesicles in which the materials are packed. Some of theses vesicles deliver their contents to other organelles, while others fuse with the cell membrane to release their contents out of the cell. As shown in the first photo, the golgi apparatus is usually near both the nucleus and rough ER, where it can synthesize proteins further. The second photo points to a vesicle.
