In November of 09, DC comics will release a miniseries introducing a world called First Wave. This will be a pulp fiction inspired world with non-super powered characters. The heroes featured in it will be Doc Savage, a rookie Batman, The Spirit, Black Canary, Blackhawks, and The Avenger (Pulp Hero). In this world Doc Savage will be the peak of human ability. Apparently there will be no magic or aliens, etc.
