Ever since the
first time I held you in my arms,
my heart filled with an overwhelming love
for you, and I knew you were very special.
Throughout the years
you grew from being
my little buddy to being my best friend and soul mate.
With your exuberant personality you made my life exciting,
and I was always happiest when you were around.
Oh how we
laughed and had fun together!
Everyone marveled at your talent and skills
which made me so proud.
You were a
Mason, Shriner,
trophy-winning hockey player,
trophy-winning golfer, guitarist,
excellent cook, and professional carpenter.
Most of all
though, you were a loving son,
showering me with gifts, cards, surprises,
and always your love.
I
feel blessed that God chose me to be your mother
and allowed me to be a part of your life,
and now that you are no longer on this earth,
I walk in a world of shadows, with a broken heart,
missing you with every heartbeat.
Some evenings
I look out over the lake
at the beautiful sunset, and I know
that you are somewhere way beyond that,
in a place where God has promised
no more sorrow, nor pain, nor tears.
Rest
peacefully there, my angel boy,
until God calls me to join you.
You were the joy and light of my life!
Thank you, Son,
for the precious and wonderful memories.
All my love
forever, throughout eternity,
Mom

Hymn
Beyond The Sunset
Beyond the sunset, O blissful
morning,
When with our Savior heav’n is begun;
Earth’s toiling ended, O glorious dawning -
Beyond the sunset when day is done.
Beyond the sunset no clouds
will gather,
No storms will threaten, no fears annoy;
O day of gladness, O day unending -
Beyond the sunset, eternal joy!
Beyond the sunset a hand will
guide me
To God the Father, whom I adore;
His glorious presence, His words of welcome,
Will be my portion on that fair shore.
Beyond the sunset, O glad
reunion
With our dear loved ones who’ve gone before;
In that fair homeland we’ll know no parting -
Beyond the sunset forevermore!
