In My Daughter's Eyes

In my daughters eyes

I see her pain,

The pain inside her

That will always remain,

The love she held so gently

In her hands,

Was her baby that god

Took into his land,

For it was so tiny

And never had a chance,

As it laid lifeless

In the palm of her hand,

She cried with the lost love

She bared inside

Taking her in my arms to let

Her know that I’m there,

For her loss and for her

I will always care,

As she names it Nikita

And walks out the door,

Holding it close to her

To say her last good bye,

With so many tears

Falling down her eyes,

I watched her bury her

Right outside,

So tiny that she fit

Into a little gold box,

Wrapped in small piece of a

Baby blanket laying it over her top,

And as she placed her in the ground

She said a prayer,

Told little Nikita she would always

Remember and always care,

That everyday she would bring her

A flower to her grave,

For god had taken her

And somewhere made a mistake,

We will remember this

December 16th day,

As I watch my daughter kneel

To her knees

Looking up to the sky,

Asking God to watch over her

Little Nikita not understanding why,

With tears still falling

Down her eyes,

In my daughters eyes

I still see her pain,

The pain inside her

That will always remain,

To my Daughter Holly

May god watch over you both!
