I look all around me,
I once was so happy,
Things taken out of context,
Words blurred, changed around,
Dreams of happiness shredded,

Just what do I see?
Gloom and despair,
Are closing in on me.
Suddenly I'm only sad,
What did I do?
What was really that bad?
Changed by another's eye,
Can't explain true feelings,
All is perceived as lies.
Emotional pain, heart ripping,
Trying to explain makes it worse,
Then over my words I start tripping.
Blown every which way,
My heart is broken..will it ever mend ?
I guess alone I will have to choose to stay.
