I thank you lord for giving me,
the strength to carry on,
I thank you lord for giving me,
the sense to know right from wrong.
I thank you lord for so many things,
but one thing I know is true,
I thank you lord for helping me,
to believe there's a lord like you.
I thank you lord for my precious life,
without you I wouldn't be here,
I thank you lord for your words of love,
it helps take away my fear.
I thank you lord for so many things,
and when my life is through,
I will wait for you to take me,
back home to heaven with you.
