Missed time and opportunities
That’s the way it is
And when loved ones have gone
All those wasted years
You can’t take time back
Once it has passed
Each moment gone by
Only memories will last
And when they’re not there
Due to lessons not learned
Is the ignorance of past
What you have earned
And time stops for no one
No matter how hard you try
Until that fatal moment
When family and friends die
Then look back on your life
Is the memory what it is
Or is it just another
One of those wasted years
