I must be insane.
That is the only explanation for doing, or even attempting, something like this.
I've made reference in another series of mine to the Glory Cycle, supposedly a series of long poems telling the major stories of the Age of Glory, which the world spent mostly at war. It occurred to me that I could probably write one of them, if I wanted to be insane about it. Then an idea came along, and, well...
Derlian and Mariera is being written in eight-line verses rhyming ababccab and organized in cantos of twenty-two or so of these. It concerns a Lord of Summerfire high blood and a woman who wants to rule in his stead. I'll be putting up more cantos as I get them done.
Welcome to my insanity...
Ollo Derlian, or Of Derlian- The First Canto.
Ollo Alferia ko Mariera, or Of Alferia and Mariera- The second canto.
Ollo Alferiaho Call, or Of Alferia's Beauty- The third canto.
Ollo Derlianho Eche, or Of Derlian's Battle- The fourth canto.
Ollo Friefderme, or Of Summerfire- The fifth canto.
Ollo Rinth Tiacrono Alferia, or Of The Feast In Honor Of Alferia- The sixth canto.
Ollo Ollin, or Of The Dance- The seventh canto.
Ollo Alferiaho Zaini, or Of Alferia's Doubts- The eighth canto.
Ollo Marieraho Kijiln ko Heja Corra, or Of Mariera's Need and Her War- The ninth canto.
Ollo Masui ko Eltai, or Of Men and Women- The tenth canto.
