As I lay there,
in the dark,
more than a million miles away.
I wished once more that I was not alone,
for I longed to rejoice
at the touch of skin upon skin
and I longed to behold
the sight of eyes set upon eyes
while I longed to embrace
the feel of lips upon lips,
where hearts soared
and souls sang,
as when I lay there,
in the dark,
more than a million miles away.
So... the beginning part refers to being alone in India, and the end to memories of Heather, although actually I never kissed her on the lips *smirk*
I wanted to knock off that when at the end, but decided that.. it'd just be weird without it.
I tried fooling around with the meter and cutting out lines and stuff and I can't get the meter to be right *grumble grumble*
One of the things I had considered was:
to rejoice at the touch of skin upon skin,
and the sight of eyes open eyes,
and to embrace the feel of lips upon lips,
or something like that.
