A SOLITARY MAN

A solitary man reaches for the sky,
and finds that he cannot.
He looks down and finds the chain that binds him.

He uproots it,
and hurls it at the clouds - as an anchor,
and pulls himself up.

It is a good thing
that so many women
have left me in the state that I'm in.
