Sunshine
and open meadows, and the sunlight on my eyelids, I roll over to feel the grass beneath my arms- but all I feel is you,- in the same place you were when we first lay down, together. I open my eyes to find you smiling- a crooked smile, with mixed thoughts- because I've just interrupted your daydream; but only to lie on top of you. (1) And though I kiss you before you have time to think about which one you want the more, I know to myself, that if it were me, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else but here. |
