BIRD HEAD TILT

She tilted her head and opened her mouth,
like a bird. Her chin and nose, pointy.
Her teeth immaculate daggers,
Her eyes beady.
She had found something to focus on.
The moment concentrated with attention.

1/5/24 Poem unfinished. Or, maybe it is finished. This was a moment when a young woman was looking at a painting. It was at a gallery / art school near the intersection of Connecticut and Florida in DC. I was there at an evening art walk event with The Arthouse meetup group.
