BEWARE THE KNIGHT OF THE ROSE

All women should beware
the Knight of the Rose.
All women can admire his beauty
and his scent from afar,
but when they get close enough
to feel the petals of his lips
they risk being pierced
by the thorn of his scorn.
Like a rose, he can be sweet,
and no other flower will be as beautiful,
but inevitably his words will turn to scorn.
"Why didn't you keep your word even for small things?"
"How can you be so foolish?"
"How could you be such an embarrassment to me?"
And she will be scarred for life,
afraid to go near any other
beautiful flower, forevermore.
