Dear upper middle class America, I think you have grown out of touch in your pristine cities. forgetting what it's like to have crumbling walls deserted strip malls and real economic problems. Dropping down from your $70,000 salary to a $50,000 one and lamenting your inability to make payments on your BMW leading to a hit on your credit and switching to a regular vehicle is not the same as a father crying in the back of his house because he can't afford to feed his kids after working hard for his whole life with the leathery hands to prove it. Just because you grew up sophisticated, articulated, and bright does not mean that anybody else who didn't doesn't deserve the same life as you, Knowing that they'll have a meal a house, a car, a job. |
