You are the sun and the moon. Some people simply say that you are the sun, but that is only because they don't know all that there is about you. When things are good between us, the happy songs are happy, the sad songs are sad. But when things are bad between us, the happy songs are morose the sad songs are morose and there is no light in the world. Chocolate tastes like caked mud, spiced vegetables taste like flavorless fire and the rain feels like a curse. Even the sunshine becomes a curse. Such a complete eclipse could only be caused by a person who is both the sun and the moon. A famous writer once said "There are only two kinds of stories: a person comes into town, a person leaves town." You are a third. You are the story itself. |

I'm not completely satisfied with this, but I feel that the first half reasonably captured what I intended.
The "famous writer" stanza is really postscript.
I'm not satisfied with the stanza prior to the postscript.
I also think that the stanza prior to the postscript should have a more positive aspect, emphasizing the sun part (for when there is no eclipse).
The famous writer quote is attributed to John Gardner.
