Katie gave me four stanzas from a poem (by John Donne) today as expressing part of how she feels (a hardcopy with the rings to the compass, I found this online after I got home)

I sent her an e-mail with this as my response (by me):

IF EVER YOU...

If ever you go far, I will lean like a rosebush to the sun,
if ever you come home, I will love you until you're gone
if ever you go and marry (someone else), and you decide to wear his ring
our arms embraced will still make bigger circles, so those won't mean a thing.
If ever you need a place to hide from tears, you can find shelter in my arms,
If ever the rain in your life subsides, I'll protect you still from harm.
If ever you find that you cannot understand a few of the things I do,
just keep in mind, that are hearts are still entwined and that
until the end, My Love, I'll always still love you.
