I HELD YOUR HEART (SAFE)

You were wandering underneath a black grey sky with no end in sight,
and then in the night when your heart shook as something inside you cried,
I clutched your heart and held it, and beneath the black grey sky I told you straight in the eye:
Everything will be alright. And I stayed with you until the storm was over.

But now I am in a different place and am in my own storm,
and I have my sword in my hand - and I will have to use it.

It's being scared in end of poem, scared of what's going to come, scared of having to fight for it. I'm very courageous when it comes to protecting others. I'm not always courageous on protecting myself. 6/20/05 on Katie. The title's temporary. Or at least imperfect.
I felt a bit abandoned. I felt.. I tried to capture it in the 2nd last line. Where was.. where were you to hold me?
