I would let go of all I have ever known |
just to be with you. |
I would sail forward, never looking backward |
as the sketches of my soul are torn one by one from the book that keeps them. |
I would ignore the passing echoes |
of the humanity that I have left behind, as we drift away in space, |
just the two of us together, without anybody else, |
with the twilight in our eyes and the nocturnal winds in our hair. |
A pair of starcrossed lovers starlit in splendor |
by the tornado of stars that gently spin about us, |
while our arms are wrapped in warm embrace |
and our lips locked in kisses tender. |
And there away from the dearth of humanity, |
lost amidst the emptiness of space... |
there you shall find my soul, |
and there I shall find yours, |
as I let go of all I have ever known, |
just to be with you. |
