I would let go of all I have ever known

just to be with you.

I would sail forward, never looking backward

as the sketches of my soul are torn one by one from the book that keeps them.

I would ignore the passing echoes

of the humanity that I have left behind, as we drift away in space,

just the two of us together, without anybody else,

with the twilight in our eyes and the nocturnal winds in our hair.

A pair of starcrossed lovers starlit in splendor

by the tornado of stars that gently spin about us,

while our arms are wrapped in warm embrace

and our lips locked in kisses tender.

And there away from the dearth of humanity,

lost amidst the emptiness of space...

there you shall find my soul,

and there I shall find yours,

as I let go of all I have ever known,

just to be with you.
