She squinted her eyes and smiled, with one crooked tooth that made her look cute. Everybody loved the princess, she was nice hearted and did nice things for others, but sometimes she wanted things "her way," and sometimes she was callous or threw fits and made others give up. But she was magical, with a streak of color running through her that came out in her life. And even though her life was not a fairytale, she was, and those who looked at her the right way could see the fairytale. |

"made others give up" means made them give up disagreeing.
The 'streak of color' means inside her (meaning her as a person, but as if someone who could see magic or put on glasses that could see magic would see such a streak running through her body).
"She was" in the last stanza means that she, herself, was a fairytale.
