He walked along the sidewalk |
on a bleak summer's day, |
while the shadows of the Wind |
whispered in his ears- |
soft murmerings that reminded him |
of another time... |
|
when that same Wind |
flung him from the Ground- |
flipped him, spinned him, |
and turned him upside down. |
|
When his surprise turned to glee |
and he'd laughed |
and he'd yelled |
and he'd cried out in joy |
|
as the Wind swept him up in its arms |
and flew him along |
in his very own roller-coaster |
or merry-go-round |
and he'd yelled "Waaahooooo!" |
|
And the Wind would catch him when he fell, |
and save him from the pain |
that'd have been |
inflicted from the Ground. |
|
And the Wind embraced him, |
and kissed him, |
and even made love with him |
away from the the world... |
|
|
but those days were gone now, |
and 'stead here 'e walked, |
along the desolate sidewalk, |
lost in memories of his Wind. |
