Not all of my poems are beautiful, but I want them all to be, for you. I want them to capture the soft summer sunset that I see in the peach fuzz of your cheeks, the loving glow that I can see in your body, - even if no one else can,- as you lie in repose on my couch, waiting for me, to watch a romantic movie. Like the strums on a rhythm guitar stepping one note down the octave at a time, as I fall deeper into my story of love with you like a Ben Harper song. |
