Six men dangle |
above the chasm of a moat, |
their lives held in balance |
by the thickness of a rope. |
|
They all are victims |
of a mastermind: "Suenna" - |
who has promised to afree them |
in exchange for another. |
|
His name is "Fare Well,"- |
a prince from the east, |
blessed with flowing red curls |
and eyes emerald green. |
|
The beauty of his heart |
matched only by the beauty of his breast, |
he agreed to exchange himself, |
for the freedom of the rest. |
|
But the princess Idolatta, would have none of it. |
She forbade him from going, |
and had him locked in his room- |
what else is a best friend for, if not to save one from doom? |
|
She uptook her longsword, |
her arrows, her sling, and bow, |
and swinging her leg o'er her horse, |
proclaimed "Off I go." |
|
She arrived at the castle |
facing gates 'graved "Suenna," |
and bellowed "Open up! In Haste! |
For I, am Idolatta!" |
|
Her name had gained great fame |
among all of the kingdoms, |
as she had slain such monsters, |
from pivpins to dragons. |
|
But even "Idolatta" |
could not frighten Suenna, |
She merely laughed quite darkly, |
and said, "Go on and enter!" |
|
The gates creakled open, |
and on went Idolatta,- |
wary of the danger, |
but to determined to be turned off. |
|
She knew that confronting Suenna |
could not be avoided, |
if she wanted to ensure |
the safety of her beloved: |
|
Suenna was obsessed; |
a maniac in lust- |
She was not aware of, |
the personality Fare Well had. |
|
But he was a beautiful person |
with a wonderful soul- |
which is why Idolatta loved him- |
though he didn't know. |
